have her body before his Lordships Justices of the County Court of Somersett the third tuesday of March then
next to answer unto his Said Lordship the Lord proprietary Concerning a Certain Presentmt against her found
&.c and that thereof he Should Not fail &c

                                 Att which said third tuesday of March to witt the Ninteenth day of the same month anno
Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty seven being the day of the Return of the said Writt Cometh the
Court here Endorsed in these words following viz.t  Cepi Corpus P francis Allen sher

             Whereupon the Said Sherr altho Solemnly Called brings not in the body of the said Comfort Townsend
according to the Return of the writt afd but remains in Mercy untill next Court &c

             Att which said Next Court to witt the Eighteenth day of June anno Dom One thousand seven hundred &
twenty Eight Came againe as well George Dashiell who for his Said Lordship in this behalfe Prosecutes as the
Sher of Somersett County afd and whereupon the said Sherr to witt Francis Allen Gentm mak pays three
pounds in Cash unto Capt Jno Jones for the fines ^for the use of the County afd^ &.c   And undertakes to pay the Severall Officers their fees
due by Occasion of the premisses afd &.c thereupon the afd Comfort Townsend is discharged from the presentment
afd &c

Wee of the grand Jury do present Richard Hudson son of Richard Hudson for mismarking and
Cutting of a marked Hogg he ye said Richard offered Benj.a Blizard three Bushells of wheat
not to discover him the Evidences in Sam.l Tindall, W.m Smith, Jno Blizard Informer

                      Thereupon Command was given to the sherr of Somersett County that he should take the Said Richard
Hudson if &.c to answer &.c   And afterwards in the Same Court Came the Said Richard Hudson in Custody of the
sher and being by the Sherr sett to the barr is thereupon Instantly demanded how he would acquitt himselfe of the premisses
&.c   whereupon at the prayer of Levin Gale of Somersett County Gent.m (that there is not sufficient matter in
the ^law in the^ Same Presentm.t Contained to warrent the Court to give Judgmt ^thereon^ against the aforesaid Richard Hudson) ^that^ the same
^presentm.t^ be quashed &c                        Whereupon all and singular the premisses by the Court being fully understood

                          Therefore it is Considered by the Court here that his said Lordship the Right honrble the Lord proprietary
take Nothing by the presentm.t afd and that the afd Richard Hudson be thereof acquitt and further it is
ordered by the Court that the afd Richard Hudson give Security for all the officers their fees due by occasion of the
premisses afd;  whereupon a Certain Saml Derickson present here in Court undertakes for the afd Richard Hudson to pay
the Severall Officers their fees due by means of the premisses afd &c


Robert Holland appears according to his Recognizance Entered into for his appearance to prosecute Jane Newman
als Persons and is accordingly discharged &c

Thomas Persons, Thomas Wharton, and Thomas Roberts appears according to their Recognizance Entered into for
to give Evidence against Jane Newman al.s Persons, and are accordingly discharged &c

Jno Hall and Jno Wharton appears according to their recognizance and are discharged
