with all Conveniant Speed Wittness Sam.l Hopkins Gent Chief Justice of our
Said Court the twenty fifth day of Novem.r in the twelfth year of our Dominion

    On the Backside of the foregoing Commission it was thus Endorsed vizt

          March the 9.th in 1727/8  We the subscribers Mett on the Spott & Haveing
Given the Notice as the Law requires Could find noe Evidence in relation to any
Bounders of that tract of Land Called Wover Marsh which we return within
Commission under our hands and Seales the day & year above

          To the Worshipfull bench of Somersett County Court      In obediance to your worships order
granted the twenty first day of November 1727      That John Beavins and William Laws should
Lay Out a new road from M.r Isaac Morris in Indian Town to Snow hill ferry accordingly they have
done it Seemingly to the Least Prejudice to any person and Likewise to the Satisfaction of Every
body Concerned as also ^to^ we the Subscribers who was the Petitioners for the said order to Certifie
the Same Jn.o Dennis the Overseer of the said road hath sett his hand hereunto                  Jno Dennis

Command was given to the Sherr of Somersett County that he should
Take John Allin late of Mattapony hundred in the County afd Planter
if he Should be found in his Bayliwick and him Should safe Keep so
    that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of somersett
to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of March then next to answer as to Benj.a
Wailes of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.c and that thereof he should not fail &a

          And the afd Benjamin Wailes by Levin Gale his attorney proceeded against the afd John
Allen in the plea afd as followeth vizt

       Somersett fs   John Allen Late of Mattapony hundred in the County af Planter was attached
to answer unto Benj.a Wailes of a plea of trespass upon the Case &c

       And whereupon the same Benj.a by Levin Gale his attorney Complaines that whereas ye afd
John the tenth day of Augt Anno Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty seven at somrsett
County within the Jurisdiction of this Court was Indebted to ye same Benj.a in ye sum of Seven hundred
and Ten pd.s of tob.o as by Acc.o herewithin Court produced May appear and so thereof being
Indebted ye said Jn.o in Consideration thereof afterwards to witt the same day and year afd at
the County afd and within the afd Jurisdiction upon himselfe assumed and to the same Benj.a
then and there faithfully promised that he when afterward he should be thereunto requested
he ye afd sum of Seven hundred and Ten pounds of tob.o to ye same Benj.a would well and faithfully
Content and pay Nevertheless ye s.d Jn.o his Promise and assumption afd in form afd made
not regarding but plotting and fraudulently Intending him ye same Benj.a in that part Craftilly
and Subtilly to defraud and deceive ye afd Jno ye afd Sum of Seven hundred & ten pd.s of tobacco
