thousand pounds of Tob.o & thereof he brings this Suite &.c  And the same Francis
bring hereinto the Court the Wrighting Obligatory afd which ^wch^ the Debt afd in form
afd Wittnesseth whose Date is the Same Day and Year afd
                                                          L Gale P Quer pledges &.c J Doe R Roe

                   And the afd Peter Watson in his Own proper person Comes and defends the force and
Injury when &.c and says that he Cannot gainsay but that the writing Obligatory afd is the act and deed
of the nor ^can he say^ but that he Owes the same Francis the afd Eight thousand pounds of tobacco in manner &
form as the afd Francis above against him declared

                   Therefore it is Considered by the Court here the twentieth day of June ann.o Dom one thousand
Seven hundred and twenty seven that the afd Francis Allen Recover against the afd Peter
Watson Eight thousand pounds of tobacco his debt afd and his damages by Occasion of the detaining
of the Same Debt to three hundred and fifty four                                       pounds of tobacco to the
Same Francis by the Court here of his assent adjudged and the afd Peter in Mercy &c

Memorand.m that the afd Francis by his attorney afd gratis here in Court Remitteth to the afd Peter seven thousand
five hundred and Eleven pounds of tobacco part of the debt afd therefore it is Considered that the said
Peter of the afd same seven thousand five hundred and Eleven pounds of tobacco be acquitt &c

of Somrsett County Planter was Summoned to answer unto Francis
Allen of a plea that he render unto him Eight Thousand pd.s of good
Sound Merchantable leafe Tob.o which to him he owes & from him
                         he Unjustly Detaines &a

       And whereupon ye same Francis by Levin Gale his attry saith yt whereas
       the afd Luke ye tenth day of Janry Anno Dom one thousand Seven hundred
       twenty Six at Somrsett Co.ty within ye Jur of this Court by his Certain Writing
       obligatory Granted himselfe to be held & firmly bound unto ye same Francis
       in ye full & Just Sum of Eight thousand pd.s of good sound Merchantable Leafe
       Tob.o in Caske to be paid ye Same Francis when afterwards ye Said Peter Luke shou'd
       be thereto requested yet the afd Luke though often thereto requested the said
       Eight thousand pd.s of Tob.o to the same Francis hath not rendered but ye said Luke
       the Same hitherto to doe hath altogether Denyed & Still doth Deny & Unjustly
       Detain Whereby ye Same Francis sayes he is worse & hath Dam to ye value
       of sixteen thousand pd.s of tob.o & thereof he brings this suite &a & ye same
       in form afd Wittnesseth whose Date is Same Day & year afd &a
                                                         Luke Gale P Quer pledges &a  J Doe R Roe

       And the afd Luke Watson in his own proper person Comes & Defends ye force &
Injury when &.a & says yt he Cannot gainsay but y.t ye writing obligatory afd is his
