Like mony of the proper Mollasses and Sugar of him the same Hocken Hull to merchantdizes
and the profitt thereof of ^of^ him the said Hocken Hull and also to render acco.t
of the Profitts thereof when he Should be thereunto required yett the said William
tho' Often thereunto required hath not rendered him his Reasonable acco.t afd to the said Hocken
Hull but the same to him hitherto to do hath altogether denyed and yett doth deny
to the damage of the Said Hocken Hull thirty pounds Cur.t mony and thereof he brings this
Suite &.c                     L Gale Que Pledgs &a Jno Doe R Roe

    And the afd William Hopkins by George Dashiell his attorney comes and defends the force
and Injury when &.c and prays Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and he hath
it and the same day is given to the afd Plft here also &.c

    Att which said next Court to witt the fifteenth day of August anno Dom One thousand Seven
hundred and twenty Eight Come again as well the afd Hocken Hull Short by his attorney afd as
the afd William Hopkins his attorney afd and the afd William Hopkins by his Said attorney
as before defends the force and Injury when &.c and saith that he Cannot gainsay the action afd
of the afd Hocken Hull neither Can he say but that he was Bailiffe of the afd Hocken Hull
of the Mollasses and Sugar afd by the time afd neither can he say but that he Ought to account
with the aforesaid Hocken Hull of the time that he was Bailife and recover afd the La in form
afd as the said Plft above against him ^hath^ Complained &.c

                               Therefore it is Considered that the afd William Hopkins account with
the afd Hocken Hull Short of the time that he was bailife and receiver of the Same Hocken Hull
and hereupon Isaac Morris, John Donellson and James Martin all of Somersett County
Gent are assigned Auditors by the Court here to hear the said Account which said Auditors or
any two of them to make their award between the parties afd and make their return to
next Court and the Same day is Given to the afd Plft and deft here also

             Att which said next Court to witt the Ninteenth day of November anno Dom one
thousand seven hundred and twenty Eight Came again as well the afd Hocken Hull as the
afd William by their attorneys afd but the afd Auditors returns not their award in the premises
afd between the parties afd therefore further day is given to the afd Plft and deft
here untill the next Court to hear the award of the afd Auditors in the premisses afd

             Att which said Next Court to witt the Eighteenth day of March anno Dom one thousand
Seven hundred and twenty Eight Came again as well the afd Hocken Hull as the afd
William by their attorneys afd and thereupon John Donelson and James Martin two
of Auditors afd mentioned makes return of their award in the premisses afd between the
parties afd which follows in these words viz.t  By vertue of a Commission to us directed bearing
date the 23.d day of November 1728 and having Inspected the Severall accounts and
Certificates late Laid before us we doe not find that the within Named William Hopkins is
any ways Indebted to the within Named Hocken Hull Short as wittness our hands and seales
