       A Copy of the foregoeing declaration and account were made and Sent to be Served on the
afd deft with the writt in the plea afd

             Att which said third tuesday of March to witt the Eighteenth day of the Same month anno Dom
One thousand Seven hundred and twenty Eight Cometh the afd John Murrow by his attorney afd and the
Sher of Somersett County to whom the foregoeing writt was directed Likewise Cometh and maketh
Return thereof to the Court here endorsed in these words following viz.t Cepi Corpus P Jn.o Purnall sher

          Whereupon the afd John Magan in his own proper person appears and thereupon
the Said John Magan at ye prayer of the Plfts attry afd is adjudged to give Speciall
Bail to the Action afd      Thereupon a Certain Littleton Townsend of Somrsett
Co.ty Planter present here in Court in his proper person undertakes for ye afd John
Magan that if in Case the afd John Murray Shall recover Judgm.t in the plea afd
against the afd John Magan or that he the Said John Magan Shall be therein
Convict that then he ye Said John Magan Shall pay the Condemnation of the Court
thereupon or render his body into the Custody of the Sher of Somrsett County in
Satisfaction thereof or that he the Said Littleton Townsend will do it for him &a

         And the afd John Magan in his own proper person Comes & Defends the force &
Injury when &.a  And Saith that he Cannot Gainsay the Action afd of the afd John
Murray nor but that he did assume upon himselfe in Manner & form as ye afd Jn.o
Murray above against him hath Complained & as to the Damage of ye Same Jn.o Murray
by him by Occasion of the premisses in that part Sustained the Same John Magan
says & Confesseth that the afd Jn.o Murray has Sustained Damage by Occasion of
the premisses besides his Costs & Charges by him about his Suite in that part Expended
to Four pound Thirteen Shillings ^and nine pence^ Curr.t Mony & because the afd John Murray
deny's not this but the Same Allegation Confesseth to be true prays Judgment
& those Damages above Confessed together with his Costs & Charges afd to him
adjudged &a                              Therefore by Consent of the parties afd it is Considered
that ye afd John Murray recover against the afd Jn.o Magan his Damages
afd to ye afd four pounds Thirteen Shillings ^and nine pence^ Curr.t Mony by ye afd John Magan in
