bound Nathaniel Hopkins do in every Respect Comply with the Law in Relation to Gardians
and deliver unto the afd Henry Ayres all this Estate both Reall and Personall wch to the said
Henry Ayres of Right doth belong when he shall arrive at full age to receive the Same quietly
and Peaceably then the above Recognizance to be void Otherwise &a

Henry Ayres son of Henry Ayres Late of Somersett County dec.d is of his
Own Consent bound by the Court unto Nathaniel Hopkins Jun.r untill he arrives
to the age of Twenty One Years; he being fourteen Years Years of age
the said Henry Ayres to serve his said Master the full term of time afd in Such Lawfull Service as
he should Imploy him in or about dureing the term afd   In consideration of which Servitude
the afd Nathaniel Hopkins undertakes to Learn his said apprentice during his Servitude the
trade of a wheel wright and to read well in the Bible and write and Cypher as far as the rule
of three and give him a Sett of tooles as is Sufficient for the trade afd and at the Expiration
of his Servitude to give him a new suit of Cloaths and Likewise find and provide for his
said apprentice dureing the term afd meat drink washing Lodging and Clothing Sufficient
for such an apprentice to have and wear &a

       Whereupon it is Ordered by the Court that the said Nathaniel Hopkins give good
Security for to Comply with the Covenants afd
                                                                         Whereupon the said Nathaniel Hopkins
with Johnson Hill his security both present herein Court acknowledged themselves to owe &
stand Justly Indebted unto the afd Henry Ayres in the full and Just Sum of twenty pounds Ster
of their goods and Chattells Lands or tenements for the Use of the Said Henry Ayres his heirs or
assigns ^seperately^ to be Made and Levied  If default be made in the Condition hereunder written

                         The Condition of the above recognizance is Such that if the above bound Nath.ll
Hopkins doe well and truely Learn the afd Henry Ayres the trade of a wheel wright and to
Read well in the bible and write and Cypher as far as the rule of three dureing the term afd;
and at the Expiration of his servitude give his said apprentice a Sett of tooles Sufficient for
the trade afd and a new suit of Cloaths and Likewise to find and provide for his said apprentice
meat drink washing Loging and Cloathing Sufficient for him to have and wear during the
term afd then the above recognizance to be Void Otherwise &.c
