1728 132 afd adjudged which Certain Dam.s in the Whole doe amount to two pd.s & six pence Curr.t Mony & Two hundred and Eighty Six pounds of tobacco And the afd Deft in Mercy &a Pursuant to his Lordships Writt of Election to the Sherr of Somersett County directed for the Chosing of four deputies or delegates for the body of said County to Serve in the next Generall Assembly to be held at the City of Annapolis the third day of October Next ^Now hereat this day to witt the second day of September^ anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and twenty Eight the said sher to witt John Purnall Gentleman together with Samuel Hopkins, W.m Planner and John Scott Gentlemen Justices with the Cler of said County mett at the said County Court house to appoint a day for the Election as afd whereupon the said Sher and Justices doe appoint that on tuesday the Seventeenth day of September Instant be the day of the Election &.c Upon which said Tuesday being the Seventeenth day of September Came the Said sher together with Severall of the Justices of the County afd to witt Samuel Hopkins, W.m Planner, Jno Jones, W.m fasitt, Jno Smith, Wm Stoughton, John Caldwell, Jn.o Handy, and John Scott Gent.m with the Cler of the County Court afd and the Severall free holders and Other Persons qualified to give a vote in an Election as afd for the County afd and did then and there vote in and Elect as delegates or deputies for the Same County Levin Gale Rob.t King, W.m Stoughton and George Dashiell Gentlemen &c The Court adjourns untill the third Tuesday of November Next Anno: Dom: 1728 |
