        June Court            1727                 13

    Cometh the said William Green in his Own proper person and the Sherr of Somersett County
    to whom the foregoeing writt was directed likewise Cometh and maketh Return thereof Endorsed in
these words following vizt                  By vertue of the within writt to me directed I have Levied of
the tobacco goods and Chattells of the within Named Thomas Gray to the value of the debt and Costs within
mentioned and paid the same to the Plft in full satisfaction of the same so answers Fran Allen sher

Command was given to the Sherr of Somersett County that he should be
of the goods and Chattells of John Anderson late of Somersett County planter
he should make seven hundred and forty Nine pounds of tobo which were
adjudged Joseph Macclester in his Lordships County Court of Somersett before the Justices thereof for
his damages which he Sustained as well by occasion of the non performance of a Certain promise
and assumption to the same Joseph by the afd Jn.o made as for his Costs and Charges by him
about his suite in that part Expended and when he had the same so made or any part thereof the
same in his Custody ^he should^ safe keep so that he might have the same before the Justices of his Lordships
County Court of Somersett to be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of June then next to satisfie
the afd Joseph of his damages afd &.c  and that thereof he should not fail &c

          Att which said third tuesday of June to witt the twentieth day of the same month anno Dom
One thousand Seven hundred and twenty Seven being the day of the Return of the writt afd
Came the said Joseph MccClester and the sherr of Somersett County to whom the foregoeing writt
was directed Likewise Cometh and maketh Return thereof to the Court here Endorsed in these
words following viz.t   By virtue of the within Writt to me directed I have Levyed of the goods
and Chattells of the within Named John Anderson viz.t One Iron Pott and hooks valued at 100
one grind stone 15 one slay & geers 60 one gun 50 six bottles and two muggs 26 one young hogg
appraised and delivered to the plft in part of satisfaction for his damages & Costs within mentioned

Chattells of James English Late of Somersett County Bricklayer he should
make Nine hundred and three pounds of tob.o which ^were adjudged^ Thomas Nevett on his
                      Lordships County Court of Somersett before the Justices thereof for his damages
which he sustained as well by occasion of the Non performance of a Certain promise and
assumption to the same Thomas by the afd James Lately made as for his Costs and Charges
by him about his suite in that part Expended and when he had the same so made or any part
thereof the Same in his Custody he should safe Keep so that he might have the same before
