Febry y.e 8.th 1725/6      The Deposition of Samuell Jackson aged about forty five years on his Corporall
Oath being taken before us y.e Subscribers (thereto Comisionated) Saith that this white oak Standing
by Quantico Creek between y.e Landing place & a Cove of y.e s.d Creek on ye south side of y.e s.d Creek
under y.e edge of Thomas Ralphs Old field ever since this deponant Remains Was deem.d by y.e
people to be y.e tree divid y.e Land of Alexd Thomas & John Marrett & yt he had been shown other
marked trees which was Leading from the s.d Oak & was Called Luce trees between y.e afd Alex.d Thomas
and John Merrett & further Saith Nott Taken before us y.e day & year afd        Samuel Jackson

Seven years on his Corprell Oath being taken before us y.e Subscribers (there to Commisionated)
saith yt this white oak Standing between y.e Landing place & a Cove
    of Quantico Creek on y.e south Side of a y.e s.d Creek (Near y.e old field of Thomas Ralph) that about
    thirty years past this Deponent Saith y.e above tree was Deem.d to be y.e tree that Divided y.e Land
    of Alex.d Thomas & John Merrett & about twenty two years agoe this Deponent hope to Carry y.e
    Chain to Lay out one hundred Acres of Land for Thomas Ralph at which time y.e s.d tree was deem.d
    to be the Second bounder of y.e Land Called trulick Grange this Deponent further Saith y.t he
    was present about ten years past with Richard Rider when y.e s.d Rid.r made use of y.e s.d tree to run
    a Line between y.e s.d Ridr & Thomas Ralph and further Saith not    Taken before us y.e day & year afd

that about thirty Six years past this deponant has heard it Comonly Deem.d y.t
    this white oake Standing on y.e south side of Quantico Creek between y.e Landing place Called y.e
    high Bank Landing and a Cove of y.e s.d said Creek was y.e second bound.r of y.e Land Called Trulicks
    Grange & y.t Alex.r Thomas Surveyed John Marrett out of a part of an old field which was allowed
    by y.e s.d Marrett to be for y.e s.d Thomas & further Saith not taken before us y.e day & year afd

on his oath Taken before us y.e Subscribers (there to Commisioned) Saith yt his father John
Marrett (Dece.d) about forty years past thinking that his Neighbour Alex.d Thomas Cut
Timber to near him upon his Land y.e s.d Thomas told y.e s.d Marrett he would bring y.e Surveyer & run a Line
betwen them w.ch after Same words they agreed to & as this Deponent Remember it was Sam.ll Cooper y.t
Surveyed y.e s.d Land & as he thinks the Surveyor begun at this white oak Standing on y.e south side
of Quantico Creek between y.e high bank landing & a Cove of the said Creek and the Line Run
through Sum Ground that this Deponants father had supposed to be his which was Cleard & as he
rememrs was in Corne & soon after the said Line was run his father removed his fence accordingly &
further Saith not   Taken before us y.e day & year afd                                            Signum

Choice Containing five hundred acres &   We Therefore requre you or any three or two of you that
at Some time & place as to you or any three or two of you Shall Seem Convenient you meet on the
