His Lordship

Andrew Thompson
In this action there Issued a Capias against Andrew Thompson to answer unto his Lordship
Concerning a Certain Presentment against him found Returnable to this Court of which said
Capias the Sherr of Somersett County to whom the Same was directed makes return thereof
                      Endorsed in these words Cepi Corpus P Francis Allen Sherr

Whereupon the said Andrew Thompson appears and is Ordered to give recognizance in twenty pds
Sterr for his appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somersett the third tuesday of
March next at dividing Creek to answer a presentm.t against him found and to stand and abide the Judgment
of the Court thereon and not to depart the Same Court without Lycence thereof   thereupon the said
Andrew Thompson acknowledged himselfe to owe and stand Justly Indebted unto his said Lordship the
Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors in the Sum of Twenty pounds Sterr to be Levied upon this
body goods or Chattells Lands or tenements for the Use of his said Lord proprietary his heirs and successors

          In Case he doth not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court
Court of Somersett to be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of March next to answer unto his Lordship
Concerning a Certain Presentm.t against him found &c and to stand and abide the Judgmt of the Court
thereon and not to depart the same Court without Lycence thereof &c thereupon the said Andrew Thomson
appears and Imparles &c

Ordered by the Court that Robert Penton pay unto William Davis and Isaac Brittingham the
sum of Ninety pounds of Tobacco Each for their attendance three days Each as Evidence on behalfe
of the said Robert Penton against John Hudson Jun.r they having Made Oath to the Same

Ordered by the Court that John Bishop pay unto William Davis the Sum of Sixty pounds of tobo
being due unto him for his attendance two days as Evidence on behalfe of the Said John Bishop against John
Hudson Junr he having made Oath to the Same &c

    Ordered by the Court that John Bishop pay unto William Davis Sixty pounds of tobo being due unto
him for his attendance two days as Evidence on behalfe of a Certain John Bishop against a Certain Abraham
Smith he having made Oath to the Same &c

Somrsett fs  John Benston Late of Somrsett County Planter was attached to answer
unto Lewis Jenckins of a plea of Trespass upon the Case &c
And Whereupon y.e same Lewis Jenckins by Levin Gale his attry Complaines
that whereas y.e afd John y.e tenth day of November Anno Dom one thousand
Seven hundred & twenty four at y.e County of Somrsett afd within y.e Jur of this Court was Indebted
to y.e afd Lewis in y.e Sum of Eight pounds one Shills Sterling as by acc.t here within Court produced
may appear and so thereof being Indebted y.e Said John afterward to witt y.e Same day & year
afd at y.e County afd within y.e afd Jur in Consideration thereof upon himselfe assumed & to y.e Same
Lewis then & there faithfully promised yt he when afterwards he should be thereto requested the
afd Sum of Eight pounds one Shill Ster to y.e Same Lewis he woud well & faithfully Content & pay
Nevertheless y.e ads Jn.o his promise & assumption afd in form afd made Not regarding but plotting and
& fraudulently Intending y.e afd Lewis In that part to Defraud & deceive he y.e afd Sum of Eight
pounds One Shill Ster or any part thereof to y.e same Lewis although afterwards thereto requested
viz.t y.e same day & year afd at y.e County afd within y.e afd Jur hath Not paid or y.e same Lewis for it
in any wise Contented but y.e  Said Jn.o y.e same hitherto to doe hath altogether refused & still doth
refuse whereby y.e same Lewis says he is worse & hath damage to y.e value of Sixteen pounds two
Shill.s Like mony & thereof he brings this suite &c               L Gale P Quer pledges &c  J Doe R Roe
