Novem Court
1725 68 Courts of this province for many years humbly prays your worships will please to admitt him in the same Capacity and your said Petitioner shall always be ready to acknowledge the favour The Petition afd being Read and heard and fully Considered &c thereupon the petitioner afd is admitted he takeing the Oaths appointed by Law &c thereupon the said Petitioner afd tooke the oaths appointed by Law & subscribed the Oath of abjuration & test &c William Adams Returns his Servant woman Called Elianor Collins who formerly had a bastard Child for which the said County was oblidged to pay his fees whereupon the said Elianor Collins agrees to serve four years In consideration whereof the said William Adams Confesseth Judgm.t unto Somersett County for four hundred and fourteen pounds of tob.o to be paid next Levy Court Ordered by the Court that Jacob Crouch deliver up unto Samuel Jackson all the Estate of Mary Philips that he hath in his hands Lett it be of what Kind soever Likewise it is ordered by the Court that Jacob Crouch deliver up unto William More all the Estate that he hath in his hands belonging to Daniel Philips, Richard Philips and William Phillips Lett it be of what Kind soever &c John Waller of Manny appointed Presmaster for the Ensueing Year Jn.o Purnall of Synapuction appointed Pressmaster for the sea side for the Ensueing Year &c Ordered by the Court that Thomas Sirman Son of Edward Sirman of Typqini Remoni with Jno Collins for till he shall arrive to full age to Chose his Guardian &c
their bodys Goods or Chattells Lands or tenements for the use of the Said Samuel Pope Joyntly and Severally to be Levied In case the Said Mary Pope do not pay and Satisfie unto the Said Samuel Pope the sum of One hundred and twenty Six pounds ten Shillings according to appraisment when he shall attain to full Years there being so much due from his Said fathers Estate &c
his Lordships Peace good Rule and Government &c Whereupon it's Ordered by the Court that the sherr of Somersett County to witt ^Francis Allen^ Joseph MccClester Gent goe & Bring the Said Thomas Peal into Court to answer &c whereupon the Said Sherr soon afterwards in the same Court Return's and brings the Said Thomas Peal to answer as afd he was Commanded and the Justices having heard the severall allegations (as) |
