57 the said Edmond Hough Shall Recover Judgm.t in the plea afd against the Said John Bishop or that the Said John Bishop shall be therein Convict that then he the Said John Bishop shall pay the Condemnation of the Court thereupon or Render his Body to the Custody of the Sherr of Somersett County in Satisfaction thereof or that he ye Said Abraham Smith will do it for him thereupon the Said Jno Bishop in his own proper person appears & Imparles till next Court &c Maryland fs: Know all men by these presents that We Francis Allen Edmond Hough and Southy Whittington of Somersett County in the province afd Gent are held and firmly Bound unto the Right honrble Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the province of Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c In the full Sum and Just quantity of two hundred thousand pounds of good sound merchantable Leafe tobacco and Casque to be paid to his Said Lordship his heirs and Successors to the which payment well and truly to be made we bind Our Selves and Every of Us Our and every of Our heirs Executors and administrators Joyntly and Severally for the whole and in the whole firmly by these presents sealed with Our Seal and dated the 4.th day of September in the tenth year of his Lordships dominion Anno Dom 1725 The Condition of the above Obligation is Such that if the above Bound Francis Allen do well and truely Serve the Right honrble the Lord proprietary his heirs and Successors in the Office of his Sherr of the County of Somersett within the province afd and in all things well and faithfully Execute the Same Office and also Shall Render unto his Said Lordship and Other his officers a true faithfull and perfect account of all and Singular his Said Lordship's Rights and dues & to his Officers a true and Just account of their fees that he Shall or may be Entrusted with by his said Lordships Governour and Other his Officers within this province to receive and Collect and his account to his said Lordship his heirs and Successors and to his and their Governour here for the time being for the fines and forfeitures and Other dues belonging to his Said Lordships Governour as also his account of all fees dues and sum's of money or tobacco due to any the good people within this province for any Sum or Sum's of money or tobacco wherewith the said Sherr Shall be Entrusted dureing the time of his Shreivalty for this present year or to such of them as shall Require the Same Shall pass and Render by the tenth day of may next Ensueing the date hereof and in all other things as Sherriffe of the County of Somersett Shall behave himselfe well and honestly to all persons according to the best of his power Skill and Knowledge then this Obligation to be void and of None Effect or Els to stand in full force Strength & vertue Francis Allen (seal) Sealed & Deliv.d in presence of us Edmond Hough (seal) Sam: Hopkins Southy Whittington (seal) W.m Planner Jn.o Smith |
