goods and Chattells which were the afd Nathaniel at the time of his death by
deputy Commissary of Somersett County afd the         day of         Anno Dom One thousand
seven hundred and two                        at the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court
after the death of the same Nathaniel was in due form of Law Committed hath not rendered
but the said Edmond the same hitherto to do hath altogether denyed and Still doth deny
and unjustly detain whereby the Same Charles says he is worse and hath damage to the
value of Eighty pounds Curr.t money of maryland and thereof he brings this Suite &.c the
same Charles brings here into Court as well the writing afd that the debt afd in form afd witnesseth
whose date is the same day and year afd as the Letters of adm.rcon afd &c

And the afd Edmond Crapper by George Dashiell his attorney Cometh and defendeth the
force and Injury when &.c and prays Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and
he hath and the same day is given to the afd plft here also

          Att which said Next Court to witt the Sixteenth day of August Anno Dom One thousand
Seven hundred and twenty Six Came again as well the afd Charles as the afd Edmond by their
attorneys afd and thereupon the afd Edmond by his Said attorney prayed further Leave
to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and he hath it and the Same day is given to the
afd Plft here also

              Att which said Next Court to witt the fifteenth day of Novem anno Dom One
thousand Seven hundred and twenty Six Came again as well the afd Charles as the afd
Edmond by their attorneys afd and the afd Edmond says that he Cannot gainsay
but that the writing obligatory afd is his act and Deed nor but that he detained from
the afd Charles the afd twenty five pounds six shillings and Eight pence Currt money
part of the afd forty pounds as the same plft above against him Declared

             Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here the Same day and Year Last
mentioned that the afd Charles Rackliffe adm.r of the Same Nathaniel Rackliffe recover
against the afd Edmond Crapper as well the Sum of twenty five pounds six shillings
and Eight pence Currt money his debt afd in form afd Confesed as also the sum of
334   three hundred & thirty four         pounds of tob.o for his damages which he Sustained
as well by Occasion of the detaining of the same Debt as for his Costs and Charges by
the Court here of his assent to the Same Charles adjudged and the afd Deft in Mercy &c
