Ackworth as well the Sum of twelve hundred pounds of tobo his debt afd as also the Sum of
216   Two hundred & Sixteen            pounds of tobacco for his damages which he Sustained as well by occa
of the detaining of the same debt as for his Costs and Charges by the Court here of his assent adjudged and
the afd Richard in mercy &c

Isaac Brittingham
 This being an Action brought by the afd Joseph MccClester against Isaac
Brittingham in a plea of trespass upon the Case &c
wherein the Sherr of Somersett County to whom the writt in the Same action
                   was directed Comes and makes Return thereof to the Court here Endorsed in these words vizt
                                                                                                          Cepi Corpus P Fran: Allen sherr

Whereupon the afd Isaac Brittingham being Called appears and thereupon the said Isaac Brittingham
at the prayer of the afd Joseph MccClester by his attorney is adjudged to give Special Bail to the
Action afd whereupon a Certain William Ennis and William Davis both of the County afd Planters present
here in Court Undertakes for the afd Isaac Brittingham that if in Case the afd Joseph MccClester
shall Recover Judgm.t in the plea afd against the afd Isaac Brittingham or that the afd Isaac Brittingham
Shall be therein Convict that then he the said Isaac Brittingham shall pay the Condemnation of the
Court thereupon or render his body to the Custody of the Sherr of Somersett County in Satisfaction thereof
or that they the said William Ennis and William Davis will do it for him   thereupon the said Isaac
Brittingham in his Own Proper person appears and Imparles till next Court &c

 memorand.m the Plft by Levin Gale his attorney sued out his Lordships writt
of scirefacias against the deft the tenor whereof followeth in these words
vizt Somersett fs  Charles absolute Lord & Proprietary of ye provinces
of Maryland & avalon L.d Baron of Baltemore &a  To
                                       the Sher of Somersett County Greeting Whereas Jeffer'y Flowers
of ye Coloney of Vergenia Lately in our County Court here (to witt) ye Seventeenth
day of August Anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred & twenty five
before ye Worshipfull Samuel Hopkins & his associates then Our Justices
of Somrsett County Court & by Consideration of ye same Court at Dividing Creek
Recovered against Tho.s Billin Late of Coventry Parish & County afd twenty
three pd.s Nine Shillings & ten pence Curr.t money of Maryland & seven hundred
& Ninety Six pounds of Tob.o for his Damages which he Sustained as well
by Occation of ye Nonperformance of a Certain assumption to ye Same Jeffr'y
Flowers, by ye afd Tho.s Billin Made as for his Costs & Charges by him about his
Suit in y.t part Expended whereof he is Convict as to us appears of record & ye afd
Jeffr'y Flowers afterwards in ye Colony of Vergenia afd died after whose Death
administration of all & singular ye goods & Chattles rights & Creditts which were of
ye afd Jeffr'y Flowers at ye time of his Death to Peter Whiting of ye Colony of
Vergenia in Due forme of Law was Committed as by ye Letters of administration
afd in our Court before our Justices brought fully appears as
