Somersett fs ^Att a Court of the right honrble^
Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the provinces of Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &.c held by his said Lordships Commissioners and Justices of the peace at Dividing Creek in Somersett County the third tuesday of November being the fifteenth day of the same month and in the Eleventh Year of his Said Lordships Dominion &.a anno Dom 1726 Present
Proclamation being made in Usual form and the Sherr of Somersett County to witt Francis Allen Gent being Called to make Return of the Pannell of the grand Jurors makes Return of the same as followeth viz.t Joseph MccClester, Abraham Smith Edmond Crapper William Hearn, Isaac Williams, Philip Adams, Jn.o White Pocomoke, John Windsor, Robert Mills Henry Schofeild, James Caldwell Thomas Purnall, James MccMorie, Samuel Tomillinson Daniel Cordery, David Hazzard, Edward Jones, John Pope John Purnall Jun.r Thomas Brereton who being severally Called appeared and were ^sworn and^ Charged and sent Out to Consider who soon after Return and present to the Court here a presentm.t against Ann Puckham, And Bill of Indictm.t against Aaron Jordine being Content that the Court Should amend form altering noe manner of Substance in them thereupon the grand Jurors were discharged and for their publick service allowed five hundred pounds of tobacco and against the afd Ann Puckham & Aaron Jordine it is ordered that Capias Issue Returnable to Next Court &a James Townsend of Somersett County is appointed Constable of Pocomoke hundred for the Ensuing Year in stead of John Lane who took the oaths appointed and Subscribed the oath of abjuration and test William Catlin of Somersett County is by the Court appointed Constable of Annamessex hundred for the Ensueing Year in Stead of Boaz Walston who took the oaths appointed and Subscribed the Oath of Abjuration and test &a Daniel Maddox appointed Constable of Manocan hundred in Somersett County for the Ensuing Year in Stead of Revell Horsey Randall Revell &c Purnal Johnson appointed Constable by the Court of Wickacomoco hundred in Somersett County for the Ensueing Year in Stead of John Hitch William Story of Somersett County is by the Court appointed Constable of Manny hundred for the Ensueing Year in stead of Thomas Dixon &c Martin Kennett of Somersett County is by the Court appointed Constable of Baltemore hundred for the Ensuing Year in Stead of John Paty &c |
