 Somersett fs     Dennis Hutson Late of Somersett County Planter was attached
to answer unto William Fasitt of a plea of trespass upon the Case &c
And whereupon the same William by Levin Gale his attorney Complaines
       that whereas the afd William the tenth day of august Seventeen hundred and twenty four
       at the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court was Possessed of One hh.d of Rum
       of the value of twenty pounds Curr.t money of Maryland as his proper Rum & so thereof
       being Possesed the same W.m afterwards to witt the day & year afd at the place afd within ye afd
       Jur out of his hands & Possession the Hogshed of Rum afd Casually Lost w.ch s.d Hogshead of
       rum after wards to witt the day and year afd at the place afd within the Jur afd to the Hands
       & Possession of the same Dennis Hudson by finding Came Nevertheless the afd Dennis
       Knowing the H.d of run afd to be the proper rum of the Same W.m in that part to
       belong & appertain Plotting & fraudulently Intending the Same W.m in that part to
       Defraud & Deceive he the afd Hogshead of run to the same W.m hath not Delivered altho'
       often thereto required But the Said Dennis afterwards to witt the tenth day of Septem
       in the year afd at the Place afd within the afd Jur to his own proper use did Convert
       and Dispose whereby the same William says he is worse and hath dam to the value
       of fifty pounds Curr mony of this Province & thereof he brings this Suite ye

       And the afd Dennis Hutson Cometh and defendeth the force and Injury when ye and prays
       Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and he hath it and the Same day is given to the
       afd Plft also            Att which Said Next Court to witt the fifteenth day of June Ann Dom one
       thousand Seven hundred and twenty five Came againe as well the afd William Fasitts as the
       afd Dennis Huttson by their attorneys afd and thereupon the Said Dennis Hutson by his Said
       attorney prayed further Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the Next Court and he hath it and the
       Same days given to the afd Plft also

       Att which said Next Court to witt the Eighteenth day of august anno Dom one thousand Seven
       hundred & twenty five Came again as well the afd Wm Fassitt as the afd Dennis Hudson by
       their attorneys afd & thereupon the said Dennis Hudson by his said attorney prayed further
       Leave to Imparle hereunto untill Next Court and he hath it and the same day is given to
       the afd Plft also

                Att which said Next Court to witt the Sixteenth day of Novem ^Ann Dom^ one thousand Seven
       hundred & twenty five Came gain as well the afd W.m Fassitt as the afd Dennis Hudson by their
       attorneys afd & thereupon the said Dennis Hudson by his said attry prayed further Leave
       to Imparle hereunto untill Next Court & he hath it & ye same days given to ye afd Plft also
