 Somrsett County ss.  John Haines Late of Sommersett County afd Planter admr

of all and singular the goods and Chattles of Joseph Haines Late of Stepney Parish
                                                 in the County afd Planter dec.d was attached to answer unto Alexander M.ccCullock of
             Sussix County upon delaware of a plea of trespass upon the Case &c 
       And Whereupon the said Alexander P George Dashiell his attorney Complaines that whereas the afd
       Joseph in his Lifetime viz.t the seventh day of aprill Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty
       at Sussix County afd vizt at Stepney Parish afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court was Indebted unto
       the said Alexander in the Just Sum of five pounds six shillings Curr.t Silver money of the Government
       of Pensilvania as P a note under the hand of the said Joseph may in Court appear and the said
       Joseph being Indebted as afd at the time and Place afd did upon himselfe assume and to the said Alex.d
       then and there did faithfully Promise that the afd sum of five pounds six shillings he would well and
       truely Content and Pay and and altho' three pounds nine shillings and six seven Pence part of
       the said debt ye said Joseph hath Paid in his Lifetime yett as to the residue being one Pounds sixteen
       shillings and five Pence silver mony the said Joseph hath not paid in his Lifetime nor the said John
       to whom administration of all and singular the goods and Chattles Rights and Creditts which were of
       the said Joseph at the time of his death in due form of Law was Committed the Promise and assumption
       of the said Joseph in his Lifetime in form afd made Little regarding but Contriveing him the said
       Alexander in that Part to defraud altho' by the said Alexander he hath been often thereunto requested
       to pay the said One pounds sixteen shillings and Five Pence yett the same to do he hath refused
       and denyed and still doth deny to ye Loss and Damage of the said Alexander of three pounds twelve
       shillings and ten pence and thereupon he Brings this suite Dashiell P Qrte  Pledgs Jno Doe Richd Roe
             And the said John Haines admr as afd by Francis allen his attorney Comes and defends the force and
       Injury when &c and Prays Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and he hath it and
       the same day is given to ye Plft also
             Att which said next Court to witt the twentieth day of November Ann Dom One thousand seven
       hundred and twenty two Comes againe the said Party Plft and deft by their attorneys afd and the
       said deft by his said attorney Prays further Leave to Imparl hereunto untill the next Court and he
       hath it and ye same day is given to ye Plft also
             Att which said next Court to witt the Nineteenth day of march Ann Dom One thousand seven
       hundred and twenty two Comes again as well the said Plft as the said deft by their attorneys afd and
       thereupon ye Court adjourns untill the Last tuesday of Aprill next being the thirtieth day of the
       same month Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty three on which day and year Last
       mentioned Comes againe ye said Partys by their attorneys afd  And the said deft by his said attorney
       as Before defends the force and Injury when &c and saith that the afd Alex.d him the said John for the
