W.m Chamberlaine
 Command was given to the Sherr of Somersett County that he should take William Chamberlain
Late of Somersett County Carpenter if he ^should^ shall be found in his Bailywick and
him should safe Keep so that he might have his body before his Lordships Justices of
the County Court of Somersett to be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of March then next to
to answer unto his said Lordship Concerning his getteing a bastard Child with & on the Body of a Certain
Ann Woods &c and that thereof he Should not fail &c
       Att which said third tuesday of march to witt the sixteenth day of the same Month ann Dom one thousand
seven hundred and twenty four being the day of the return of the said Writt Cometh the sher of
Somersett County to whom the foregoeing writt was directed and maketh Return thereof in these words
following vizt                                 Cepi Corpus P Jos: MccClester Sherr

          Whereupon the said William Chamberlain in his Own proper person appears and being
sett to the Barr is thereupon Instantly demanded how he would acquitt himselfe of the premisses afd
so as afd against him Imposed says that of the premisses afd so as afd against him Imposed he is
guilty thereof and is willing to make fine to the Lord proprietary for the fact afd
          Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here the sixteenth day of march and year afd
that the said W.m Chamberlaine be fined to the said Lord proprietary the sum of thirty shillings
for the fact afd toward the defraying the County Charge which said thirty Shillings is paid unto
M.r George Dasheill by M.r ^Francis^ Allen for &c    Likewise the said Francis Allen became security
for the said W.m Chamberlaine to pay the severall officers their fees due by occasion of the premisses
afd &c

Michael Holland Junr
 Whereas a Certain Michael ^Holland^ Jun.r being sommoned to attend
this Court for not returning a true & Exact List of all his taxables
in Pocomoke hundred he being Constable thereof &c the said Michael
          Holland in his own proper person appears and Makes Oath that he had Entered the
Taxables that he was accused of Negligence in takeing only in makeing and transcribing a duplicate
thereof the same was Omitted &c    Whereupon the Court haveing Maturally Considered
the same   thereupon the said Michael Holland undertakes to pay unto Somersett County
the sum of two hundred and seventy Eight pounds of tobo.o at the Next Levy Court it being in full
for his Neglect in Not returning his taxables thereupon the Said Michael Holland is discharged paying his
fees &c
