264 the third tuesday of June Next and give Evidence against a Certain Richard Tiler and Benjamin Esome on behalfe of the Lord proprietary & not to depart without Leave of the Court &c David Johnson being bound by recognizance to attend this Court to give Evidence against Richard Tiler and Benja Esom is discharged therefrom &c Upon the mocon of M.r John Caldwell to this Court on behalfe of M.r John Caldwell Jun.r of Somersett County to be deputy Ranger in the County afd approved of being a person of good fame to range with Henry Toadvine who was formerly approved of &c Elizabeth Gray of Somersett County Gentl: returned to this Court four pounds ten shillings Curr.t mony it being for the fines that was paid Mr Joseph Gray her husband Lately dec.d which said four pounds tenn Shillings is putt into the hands of Cap.t John Jones to be by him safe Kept for the Countys use &c Whereas a Certain Thomas Wright a blacksmith being Imported into this province ^of Maryland^ from the Island of Barbados as a Servant to One Samuel Cox Esqr Late of the said Island of Barbados and since the arrivall here ^of^ the said the said Samuel Cox Esq.r and the said Thomas Wright the said Cox is dead after whose death the said Thomas Wright together with all other the servants sound goods and Chattells ^which were^ of said Samuel Cox dec.d or thereof Samuel Cox in the province of Maryland afd at the time of his death were Legally Committed Committed to a Certain John Donelson of the County of Somersett afd who duly adminestred thereof and after the administration afd the said Thomas Wrigh^t^ being suspected to be the servants of One Judge Sutton of the Island of Barbados at the Complaint of Francis Allen of said County of Somersett Gent on behalfe of the said Judge.t Sutton to Maj.r William Planner one of the Justices of the County afd the said Thomas Wright is Committed into the Custody of the Sher to be by him safely Kept untill &c Whereupon the premisses Considered by the Court and the Indentures of both partys Laying Claim to the said Thomas Wright being fully Inspected and Mature deliberation thereupon had It's thereupon Ordered by the Court here the sixteenth day of March one thousand seven hundred & twenty four That the said Thomas Wright Return to the service of the said John Donelson adm.r of the said Samuell Cox Esqr Lately dec.d and that the said John Donelson give Recognizance in One hundred pounds Sterr not for to sell nor Convey the said Thomas Wright out of the County afd Thereupon the said John Donelson acknowledged himselfe to owe and stand Justly Indebted unto the Right honrble the Lord proprietary of this province of Maryland his heirs and successors to be Levied on his body Goods or Chattells Lands or tenements In ^Case^ he doe sell or Convey the said THomas Wright out of this province of M County of Somersett afd |
