180 Att the prayer of M.r Alexander Adams that James McMorie Cler to the Commissioners for Assertaing the bounds of Land may send his records of the said Commissioners ^Proceedings^ to the Clerk of the County and with him to be Lodged &c thereupon Its ordered by the Court that the said James MccMorie forthwith send the same Records to the Clerk of the County and the same with him to remain &c Whereas the Bridge at the head of Manocan is rendered to this Court so decayed that it seemingly is dangerous for travellers &c thereupon It's Ordered by the Court that Capt John Jones William Stoughton Esqr and Capt Levin Gale view the same Bridg and agree with some person or persons to repair ye same Bridge and Keep the same in good repair and make their report to this Court &c Levin Gale of Somersett County Gentl: Produceth herein Court a Commission from Daniel Dulany Esq.r his Lordships attorney Generall of the province of Maryland to be Clerk of the Indictm.ts or prosecutor of his Lordships pleas in said County of Somersett which Commission followeth in these words viz.t Maryland fs: Daniel Dulany Esq.r his Lordships attorney General of the province of maryland To all whom these presents shall Come Greeting Know ye that I for the Especiall trust and Confidence that I have in the diligence and Sircumspection of Levin Gale of Somersett County Gentl: and of his skill and knowledge in the Laws and Customs of this province have made deputed and appointed and by these presents do make depart and appoint the said Levin Gale to be Clerk of the Indictm.ts and prosecutor of ^all^ his Lordships plans Suites and actions within the said County of Somersett to have Exercise and Enjoy the said Office of Clerk of the Indictmts of the Said County with all previledges fees perquisites and profitts thereunto Belonging as fully and amply as any Clerk of the Indictm.ts heretofore had or ought ot have to him the said Levin Gale dureing pleasure Given under my hand and seal this thirtieth day of march ann pr Dom 1724 D: Dulany (Seal) Which being read and heard the said Levin Gale is approved of and admitted he takeing the Severall Oath appointed ^by^ Law thereupon the said Levin Gale takes the severall oaths appointed by Law and subscribed the Oath of abjuration and test &c
