August One thousand seven hundred and ten the afd Edward using trade and Commerce &c did for value of ye
afd ann Alexander Received transfer at Coventry parish afd within the Jurisdiction afd by Endorsm.t with the
his proper hand subscribed on the Back of the afd Bill according to the Custome of merchants afd the afd bill
unto the afd Ann Alexander or order of which Endorsm.t of the said Edward the afd John Hyde afterwards
to witt the twentieth day of October seventeen hundred and Eleven at London vizt in Somersett County afd
had Notice and then and there was Requested to pay the afd sum of four pounds Ninteen Shillings sterr
to the order of the afd Ann Alexander and the afd William Burton in fact says that the afd John
Hyde after thirty days sight of the afd first bill had notice as afd hither to hath not paid unto the afd
Ann Alexander or Order &c the afd sum of four pounds ninteen shillings sterling or any part
thereof according to the Custome of merchants the tenor of the Bill afd and that for want of paymt
the^e^of after thirty days sight and notice afd the afd first Bill of Exchange the fifth day of Novem.r
one thousand seven hundred and Eleven at London viz.t Somersett County afd was protested (the
second and third) not being paid according to the Custome of merchants afd whereof the said Edward
the fifteenth day of may one thousand seven hundred and Eighteen after the death of the said Ann by
William Burton her Executor at Coventry Parish afd and within the Jurisdiction afd had notice and
in Consideration thereof and of the Custome of merchants afd the said Edward the the day year and place
Last mentioned upon himselfe assumed and to the said William Ex.r as afd then and there faithfully
promised that he the said Edward the afd sum of four pounds Ninteen shillings sterling when afterwards
he should be thereto requested to the said William Executor as afd he would well and truly
Content and pay Nevertheless the afd Edward in his Life time and the afd Robert since the death of
the said Edward the promise and assumption afd of the afd Edward so as afd made Little regarding
but plotting and fraudulently Intending the afd William in that part Craftily and Subtilly to defraud
and deserve the afd sum of four pounds ninteen shillings sterling or any part thereof to the same
William altho' the said Edward in his Life time afterwards that is to say the tenth day of November
one thousand seven hundred and Eighteen and the afd Robert the tenth day of may one thousand seven
hundred and twenty two and often afterwards at Coventry parish in the County afd within the afd Jurisdiction
were thereunto requested hath not paid or in any wise Contented but the same hitherto to pay or in
any wise Content hath altogether Refused ^and still^ doth refuse whereby the said William says he is the worse
and hath damage to the value of Nine pounds sterling money of great Brittain and thereof he brings
this Suite &c & ye said William Brings hereinto Court the Letters testamentary &c by which &c

    And the said Robert Martin adm.r as afd by Francis Allen his attorney Comes and defends the force and
Injury when &c and prays Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court and he hath it and the
same day is given to the plft also            Att which said next Court to witt the twentieth day of august
Ann.o Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty three Come againe the said partys by their attorney
afd and ye said deft by his said attorney prays further Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next
Court and he hath it and the same day is given to the plft also
       Att which said next Court to witt Ninteenth day of November ann Dom one thousand seven hundred
and twenty three Come again the said partys by their attorneys afd and the said deft by his said attrny
prays further Leave to Imparle hereunto untill the next Court & he hath it & ye same day is given
to ye plft also                  Att which said next Court to witt the seventeenth day of march ann Dom one
