(15) Ninty two pounds of tobacco and thereupon he Bringeth Suite &.c Allen P Q Pledges deft Jno Doe R Roe
Att which said third tuesday of march to wit the Nineteenth day of the same month Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty Being the day of the return of the said Writt Comes the Sher of Som said Robert Martin by his attorney afd and the sherr of Sommersett County to whom the foregoeing Writt was directed Likewise Comes and makes return thereof to ye Court here Endorst in these words vizt N E. P Joseph MccChester Sherr Whereupon the said Robert Martin by his attorney afd Prays that for as much as he has Complyed with the Law in order to an attachment he may have Judgm.t against the said Anthony More for his damages afd by way of attachm.t according to act of Assembly &.c Whereupon for that it seems to the Court here that the said Robert Martin has Complyed with ye Law as alledged Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here the Nineteenth day of March Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and twenty two afd that the said Robert Martin recover against the said Anthony More as well the sum of Eight hundred and (220) forty six pounds of tobo his damages by occasion of the Premisses afd as all Costs and Charges by the said Plft Laid Out and Expended about his Suite by way of attachment against the goods Chattles and Creditts of the said Anthony More according to act of assembly in Such Case made and Provided &ca
And the said John Caldwell by francis Allen his attorney Proceeded against the said John Layton and George Hutchins in the Plea afd as followeth viz.t And whereupon the said John Caldwell by francis Allen his attorney Complains that whereas the afd John Layton and George Hutchins the tenth day of March in the Year of Our Lord God One thousand Seven hundred and Nineteen twenty at ye afd Parish and County and within the Jurisdiction of this Court were indebted unto ye afd John Caldwell in ye Sum of nine pounds Curr.t mony for one thousand two hundred pounds of tobacco by the said John Caldwell to a Certain Alexander Carlyle for him ye afd George Hutchins at ye Specill Instance and request of him the same George before that time deposited and paid as by a note thereof here into Court ready to be produced by them the said John Layton and George Hutchins signed my appeal and thereof being Indebted the afd John Hutchins Layton and George Hutchins afterwards to witt the (same) |
