146 here that the said William Robinson be whipt at the Publick whiping Post with twenty five Lashes well Laid on untill the Blood appear and that he stand in the Pillowry halfe an hour and that he be taken &c and thereupon as to the Corporall Punishm.t afd Command is given to the Sherr of Somersett County that he do thereof Immediate Execution according to the Judgm.t afd rendered by whiping the afd William Robinson at the publick whiping post with Twenty five Lashes on the Bear Back well Laid on untill the Blood appear and by sitting him in the Pillowry halfe and hour and afterwards in the same Court the sherr returns that he has done the Execution of the Judgmt afd as to the Corporall Punishm.t afd he was Commanded and further it is Considered by the Justices that the said William Roberson suffer Imprisonmt Eighteen day for the fact afd and afterwards to remain in Custody of the Sherr untill he shall be discharged thence by due Court of Law &c Ordered by the Court that Mr Joseph MccClester stand Chargeable to the County for five pounds Ninteen Shill.s and five pence for fines &c Ordered by the Court that Andrew Smith be overseer of the road from William Wouldhams plantation to Mad.m Hamptons Plantation (at the sea side) and from thence to the road that Leads to Buckingham and to have the familys following to assist viz.t John Timons, Will.m Timons, Aaron Timons, Job Truit, Rob.t Hodge, W.m Rickards John Bradford, Isaac Ironsheer, Jeremiah Townsend, Mad.m Mary Hampton, Francis Timons, Joseph Timons James Timons, Samuel Timons, Thomas Timons &c Ordered by the Court William Simpson be overseer of the roads in Boquertennorton hundred in the stead of Jeremiah Townsend &c Ordered by the Court that Richard Holland be overseer of the Roads in Baltemore hundred in stead of Nathaniel Ratcliffe &c
Peace of God and the said Lord proprietary then and there being with force and arms an assault made and him the said Thomas Brown then and there Beat wounded and Evilly Treated so that of his Life it was despaired and other harms to him then and there did to the great Damage of the said Thomas Brown and against the Peace of the said Right honourable the Lord proprietary his good rule & Dignity &c Levin Gale P Dom Propry Thereupon Command is given to the sherr of Somersett County that he should take the said John Newbold if he should be found in his Bailywick and him should Safe Keep so that he should take the said John Newbold the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somersett Now sitting at Dividing Creek to answer unto his Lordship Concerning the above Indictm.t &c and that thereof he should not fail &c Whereupon the sherr soon after returns and brings into Court the said John Newbold to answer the Indictmt above as by his said Preceipt (he) |
