acknowledge themselves to be Indebted to his Said Lordship Each in the Sum of ten pounds Curr.t money due to be Levied on their Goods and Chattles Lands and tenements for the Use of his said Lordship if they fail in the Condition hereafter mentioned the Condition of the above recognizance is such that if James Driskill do be of the peace and good beheaviour to all his majesties Good subjects of this County and Especially to Sarah Wright of the said County and make his personall appearance before the Justices of Our Said County Court to be held at Dividing Creek the third tuesday of March next and stand and abide the Judgm.t of the Court then this Recognizance to be Void Else to remain in full force & Vertue in Law John Handy Now here at to witt the third tuesday of march being the Seventeenth day of the Same month Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred & twenty three personally appeared herein Court the above Named James Driskill and prays that his appearance may be Entered to save himselfe and security from the above recognizance thereupon the said James Driskill's appearance is Entered and he accordingly discharged therefrom &c Whereupon It's Ordered by the Court that the said James Driskill Give New recognizance for his Good beheaviour and appearance at next Court in the sum of fifty pounds Curr.t money with one Security in the same sum &c thereupon the Said James Driskill present here in Court acknowledged himselfe to owe & stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship the Right honourable the Lord proprietary his heirs and successors in the sum of fifty pounds Curr.t money to be Levied on his Body Goods or Chattells Lands or tenements for the Use of his said Lordship the Lord proprietary his heirs & successors In Case the said James Driskill doe not make his personall appearance before the Justices of Our County Court to be held at Dividing Creek in Somersett County afd the third tuesday of June next to answer unto all such matters and things as shall be then & there objected against him on his Lordship's behalfe and to stand & abide the Judgm.t of the Court thereupon and not to depart the Same Court without Lycence thereof and in the mean time to be of the Good Beheaviour to all his Lordship's Leige People & Especially to the afd Sarah Right &c Likewise Moses Driskill of Somersett County Planter present here in Court in his proper person undertakes for the said James Driskill as his security and acknowledged himselfe to Owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his said Lordship the Lord proprietary his heirs and successors in the sum of fifty Ten pounds Curr.t money to be Levi'd on his body Goods or Chattells Lands or tenements to the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and successors In Case the said James Driskill doe not make his personall appearance before the Justices of Our County to be held at Dividing Creek in Somersett County afd the third tuesday of June next And answer unto his said Lordship the Lord proprietary in touching (or) |
