through his plantation which is a great Determent to your petitioner and whereas formerly your petitioner had an Order granted for to turn the road from the Mill to the Causway Leading to manocon M.r John Bozman being than president but not Executing the Said Order in Sloping up of the Said Old Road which is very Mirey till now am not willing to stop it till I had acquainted your Worships of the same hoping your worships will be pleased to grant and your worship's Petitioner shall as in duty bound Ever pray William Alexander The petition afd being read & heard and Maturally Considered. It's ordered by the Justices that the said William Alexander turn the road according to the direction of Capt John Jones and William Stoughton Esq.r and that they direct the turning of the same &c
will appoint some proper persons to Enquire into the truth of the bounds of the said Land Call'd Davis's Choice according to the form of an act of assembly of this province in that Case made & provided and as in duty Bound shall pray John Turpin The petition afd being read & heard and fully Considered it's ordered by the Court that A Commission Issue to Capt John Jones, Capt William Planner Robert King and Upsher King of Somersett County Gentlemen and that they or any three or two of them mete on the afd Land and take the depositions of the several Evidences that shall be to them produced &c & the same reduce into writing &c
therefore your petitioner humbly prays your worships to grant your petitioner Lycence to Sell Liquors and to settle the rate of the same and your petitioner as in duty bounds shall Ever pray George Tull The petition afd being read and heard and fully Considered It's ordered that the petition afd be granted the said George Tull giving security according to Law &c thereupon the said George Tull together with Richard John Tull & Stephen Handy of Somersett County Gentl: his securitys all present here in Court acknowledged themselves to Owe & Stand Justly Indebted unto his Lordship his heirs and successors in the sum of twenty pounds Sterr Joyntly & Severally to be Levied on their Bodys Goods or Chattles Lands or tenements for the use of his Said Lordship the Lord proprietary In Case the said George Tull Entertain any Freeman or Loose person in their ^his^ houses above twenty four hours (Court times Excepted) unless such person be Capable to Give his Vote for (a delegate) |
