Proclamation being made in Usuall form and the Sherr of Somrsett County to witt Joseph MccChester Gent being Called to make return of the Pannell of the grand Jurors return the same which Jurors are as follows viz.t James Rownd, WIlliam Waltom, Craper, Samuel Denisson, Thomas Dixson, Stephen Waltom, Thomas Wallice, Fishard Waltom, William Young, Edward Kellam, Charles Young, William More, John Bozeman, Solomon ColeBorn, Edward Beachamp, William Holland, Jefferry Long, Sam.l Taylor John Gimby, William Handy, Robert Mitchell Who being severally Called appears and were Sworn and Charged and sent out to Consider &.a Who Soon after appeared and Present to ye Court here the following Presentm.ts and Indictm.t being Content that the Court should amend form altering noe Manner of Substance in them viz.t Presentm.t Jennett Cormorant ^Anthony King^ Harry Bridgett Lowder, Anne Shiles, Eliz.a Burcham, Joseph Holder, Margrett Cain, Edward Roberts, William Pullitt, and Jun Thomas Langford, Mary Dearent, William Pepper and Indictm.t ag.t Joseph Holder, thereupon the grand Jurors are discharged and Ordered that they be allowed for their service this Court the Sum of five hundred pounds of tobacco to be paid next Levy Court and against the severall Persons afd Presented and Indicted It is Ordered that Cepias Issue against them returnable next Court &a Whereas Alexander Hall Gente Clerk of Somrsett County Court being so Indispos'd that he Could not and Execute his Office to ye great Prejudice of Suitors and Others that had any Business to doe in Said Court Whereupon Francis Allen of said County Gent is admitted a deputy Clerke for the said Alexander Hall in this Court dureing his Indisposition thereupon the said Francis Allen tooke the severall Oaths appointed with ye Oath of Pub Clerk &.a But not with standing the said Francis Allen qualifications afd the Court do Lycence India Fran him to speak to all Business wherein he is Concerned &.a
so that your Petitioner humbly Prays your Worships to Sett your Poor Petitioner Tax free Your poor Petitioner as in duty Bound shall Pray the Premisses afs Considered It's Ordered by the Court that ye Said Joseph Adason be for ye future levy free as afd is Praid &a |
