mark or scar that I have discovered   In Testimony whereof I hereto subscribe
my name & affix the public seal of my office this 14th day of March Anno

State of Maryland Caroline County to wit;  Whereas application hath been made
to me by a coloured girl named Ritta Ann Scott for a Certificate of her freedom
agreeably to the act of assembly in such case made and provided by which said
Act free negroes and molattoes are permitted to travel out of this state upon the
obtention of a certificate of being free born  And whereas also upon the Oath of
Sarah Williams of Caroline County that the said Coloured girl named Ritta
Ann Scott for whom this Certificate is made was free born.  I do therefore grant
her said application and hereby Certify that she is thirteen years of age
or thereabouts about five feet two and three quarter inches high of a dark
brown complexion was born and raised in Caroline County & has two
scars of burns on the right side of the Back of her neck seperated about
2 inches one from the other and no other mark or scar that I have discovered
             In Testimony whereof I hereto subscribe my name & affix the public

State of Maryland Caroline County to wit:  Whereas application hath been made
to me by a coloured man named Wilson Coker for a Certificate of his freedom
agreeably to the act of assembly in such case made and provided by which
said act free negroes and molattoes are permitted to travel out of this state
of the obtention of a Certificate of a Certificate of being free born.  And whereas
also upon the Oath of George Reed of Caroline County that the said coloured
man named Wilson Coker for whom this Certificate is made was free born
    I do therefore grant his said application and hereby Certify that he is
five feet nine inches high or thereabouts says he was twenty one years of age
the thirtieth of January last was born and raised in Caroline county
and of a molatto complexion has a small scar just under the hair near
the middle of his forehead & two small scars near together & parallel
with each other on his left elbow and no other notable mark or scar
