73 I do therefore grant his said application and hereby certify that from his own account he was thirty seven years of age the first day of January last five feet two and three quarter inches high or thereabouts complexion nearly black was born and raised in Caroline County and has no notable marks or scars that I have observed (seal) In Testimony whereof I hereto subscribe my name and affix the public seal of my office this 26th day of January Anno Domini 1833 Cost $1.00 cts Jo Richardson Clk of Caroline County Court State of Maryland Caroline County to wit; Whereas application hath been made to me by a negro woman named Hannah Price for a certificate of her freedom agreeably to the act of assembly in such case made and provided; by which said act free negroes and mulattoes are permitted to travil out of this state upon the obtention of a certificate of being free born and whereas also upon the oath of Mary Maria Towers of Caroline County that the said negro woman named Hannah Price for whom this certificate is made was free born I do therefore grant her said application and hereby certify that from her own account she will be seventeen years of age the tenth day of October next five feet and one quarter of an inch high or thereabouts; of a brown complexion was born and raised in Caroline County has a small scar of a scratch cross wise her right cheek and a little above the right nostril and another small scar of a burn on her left hand and the end of the ring finger of her left hand disfigured by a cut and has no other notable marks or scars that I have observed (seal) In Testimony whereof I hereto subscribe my name and affix the public seal of my office this 23d day of April Anno Domini 1833 Cost $1.00 cts Jo Richardson Clk of Caroline County Court State of Maryland Caroline County to wit; Whereas application hath been made to me by a negro woman named Henrietta Sharpe for a certificate of her freedom agreeably to the act of assembly in such case made and provided by which said act free negroes and mulattoes are permitted travil out of this State upon the obtention of a certificate of being free born and whereas also upon the oath of Ann Vincent of Caroline County that the said negro woman named Henrietta Sharpe ^for whom this certificate is made^ was free born I do therefore grant her said application |
