                                     Sir,
                                           The bearers hereof
Adam and Anise and two of the Negroes who
I proved were entitled to their freedom in the
office of Thomas P. Smith Esq before you by
the Deed of Manumission from Mr Blair
to his slaves   I have known Adam
ever since I was a Boy and Anise since
her infancy I purchased Anise of Mr
Blair and she lived with me all the time
of her Servitude
