     6                                        March Court 1717
   hundred and Twenty pounds of Tobacco Debt~ as also the Sume of Three hundred
   and five pounds of Tobacco Cost by the afd Plt~. about his Sute in this behalfe—
   expended and by the Court here of his assent adjudged and the Said Deft~ in
   mercy —

                at | Twenty third day of November in the Second Year of

   of Kent County in the Province of Maryld Planter if he Should be found in his —
   Bayliwick and him Safe keep So that he have his body before his Said Lord
   Ships Justices of the next Court to be held at our Court house in the Town of
   Chester in Said County to Answer unto Nathl. Pearce of a plea that he render unto.
   him the full and Just Sum of Twelfe hundred pounds of Gud Sound Marchanable
   Tobacco Clear of all manner of Trash and Ground lefes with good Sesened Caske
   to Contain ye Same of the price and value of Tenn pounds Sterlg money wch—
   from him he unjustly detains &ca.   . And that he have then and there the
   Said writ &ca.    .    .      Att which Said next Court vizt. the Eighteenth day
   of March the Yeare afd the day of returne thereof in these words
   thereon Endorsed as folls vizt. Cepi Corpus pr Simon Wilmer Sherf.
   And the Said Deft~ being called came and the Said Plt. by Thomas Bowne
   his attry. prays that the Said Deft~ may give Special baile to the afd Accõn —
   which is granted on which Ebenezr. Blackiston of Said County here in Court~
   cometh and Acknowledged himselfe Special baile in the afd Accõn and doth~
   under take for the afd Deft~. the payment of the Debt afd and Cost accruing if in Case
   the afd Plt Shall obtaine Judgment~ against the Said Deft in the Said Accõn of Debt
   and the Said Deft~ the Condemnation Shall not Satisfie nor himselfe to the Custody
   of the Sherf. of Said County deliver or that the afd Ebenezr. Blackiston the body
   of the Said Deft~ Shall not render &ca.
   And the Said Deft~. in his proper person appeared to the above Accon and
   prayd liberty thereof to imparle thereto and to Answer at next Court which
   is granted the Same day is given the Plt~ also
