a^t	\|	the S^d. Plt^f against the S^d Def^t. for the Summ of Thirteen
Nathaniell Pearce	\|	pounds Currant money of this province Debt and three

   thirty pounds of Tobacco additional Cost to which the Sheriff of S^d County made
   Return of the S^d precept Endorst as foll^s viz^t. Cepi Corpus p^r Simon Wilmer
   Sher^f.

George Gleaves	\|	pounds five Shill^s and two pence Currant money of
		this province and three hundred and fifty pounds of

   Tobacco Cost of Suit with thirty pounds of Tobacco additional Cost To which
   the Sheriff of S^d County made Return of the S^d precept Endorst as foll^s viz^t.
   Cepi Corpus p^r Simon Wilmer Sher^f.

TB. Benntt Lowe	\|	D^t 1084^{lb Tob^o}. Sheriff returns the Same writt Endorst Cepi Corpus p^r Simon

a^t	\|	Writt viz^t. the 21^st day of June anno Domⁱ 1720 being the
George Macay	\|	day of Return of the Same the S^d Def^t. being Solemnly calld
& Robert Macay ––	\|	viz^t George Macay to appear to the af^d writt but makes De:
		fault on which Simon Wilmer Gent Sher^f of S^d County was amerced

in the Summ of three Shill^s and four pence Currant money

TB. DM. John Cann	\|	This being an action of Trespass on the Case Commenced by
a^t	\|	the S^d Plt^f against the S^d Def^t. wherin the Sheriff of Said County
JJ. John Ball	\|	to whom the writt in the S the Said accõn was directed makes
		Return to the Court here on the third Teusday in June viz^t.

   the 21^st day of Said month anno Domⁱ 1720 Endorst Cepi Corpus p^r Simon Wilmer
   Sheriff                                prayer of y^e
                Whereupon at the^ plt^f by his attorney af^d. the Def^t. is adjudged to
   give Special Bail to the accõn af^d. and the Sher^f of Kent County ordered to keep the
   S^d Def^t. in Safe Custody untill the S^d Bail is given.    Thereupon John
   Clayton and Roger Hicks both of Kent County                 here in Court
   Present do Joyntly and Severally Undertake for the af^d. John Ball
   that in Case the S^d. John Cann Shall recover Judgement in the plea af^d ag^st
   the S^d John Ball or that he the S^d John Ball Shall be therein Convict that then
   the Said John Ball Shall pay the Condemnation of the Court thereupon or ren
   der his body to the Custody of the Sheriff of Kent County in Satisfaction thereof
   or that they the Said John Clayton and Roger Hicks or one of them will do it
   for him
           And the af^d Def^t. by Thomas Bown and David Macbride his attorneys Comes
   andefends the force and Injury when &c. And Saveing to himself all and all manner
   of Advantages and Exceptions as to the writt in the S^d Action prays leave to im=
