      Whereupon at the prayer of the pltf the Deft. is adjudged to give
   Special Bail to the action afd. Thereupon William Mackey of Kent County
                     present here in Court Undertakes for the Sd Robert Maxfield
   that in Case the Sd. Gilbert Higgingson and Company Shall recover Judgemt
   against the Sd. Robert Maxfield in the plea afd. or that he the Sd Robert Max:
   field Shall therein be Convict that then he the Sd Robert Maxfield Shall pay
   the Condemnation of the Court thereupon or render his body into the Custody
   of the Sheriff of Kent County in Satisfaction thereof or that he the Sd William
   Mackey will do it for him
           And now at this Court vizt. the 28th. day of July anno Domi 1720 the afd.
   Deft. here in Court present in his proper person Comes and defends the force
   and Injury when &c.    And Says that He cannot gainsay the plts afd. their
   action So as afd against him brought nor can he Say but that the Sd plts. ought
   to recover their debt by occasion of the premises afd to the Summ of Six hundred
   and Seventy four pounds of Tobacco and Cost of Suit against him which
   the Sd pltf. doth not gansay Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here
   the 28th day of July anno Domi 1720 that the Sd. Gilbert Higginson & Compay.
   Recover against the Sd Robert Maxfield as well the Summ of Six hundred
   and Seventy four pounds of Tobacco his Damages afd. in form afd Confessd
   as also the the Summ of three hundred and twenty Seven pounds of Tobacco
