June Court 1720 465 Michael Lazell and his wife Thomas Windall Ann Windall Christopr. Hall Peter Cole Joseph Butler Benjamin Butler and George Murphett. Sworn as Evidences to the Grand Jury John Bech complains that Josiah Crouch and that the Said Crouch the peace hath broke ordered by the Court that the Sherf of Said County bring the Said Crouch before this Court to answer the Same the Same appears in Court And ordered to give Security for his appearance to Next Court and good behaviour in the meantime and especially to John Bech The Said Josiah Crouch Acknowledges himself indebted to his Ld Ship his heirs & Successrs. in the Sume of Tenn pounds Sterlg to be Levey’d on his goods and Chattells Lands and Tenements Conditionally that if the Said Josiah Crouch Shall not make his personall appearance at the next Court to be held for Said County to answer unto what Shall be objected against him on his Lordships behalfe and in the mean time to be of good behaviour and Especially to John Bech wherewith he acknowledges himselfe Content John Beck junior and Joseph Everitt both of Said County comes into Court and acknowledges themselves indebted to his LordShip his heirs and Successrs. in the Sume of five pounds Sterlg Each to be Leveyed Conditionally that if the Said Josiah Crouch Shall not appear and answer as afd And he be of good behaviour as afd wherewith they acknowledge themselves Content Clandious Rogers a poor man appears to this Court to be an object . of Charity on which this Court adjudges him to be exempted from paying of Levey Court adjourns till Tomorrow morning eight Clock
