     320                                   August Court 1719
   moves in Stay of Judgment of the verdict of the Jurors afd which is
   granted and time to file reasons in four days after Court otherwise Judgmt.
   to be rendered for the Plts on the Verdict afd And thereupon the Same
   Action was Continued untill the then next Court
    Att which Said next Court to wit the 19th day of August Anno Domi 1719
   comes againe as well the Said Plts by their attry afd as the Said Deft by
   her attry afd And the Said Sarah Jewers by her attry afd and the reasons
   in arrest of the verdict of the Jury afd to wit Reasons Wherefore the Plts
   Should not have Judgment on the verdict given^forthem in the Said Cause
     First the Declaration against the Said Deft In the Said Cause is
   Insufficient in Substance for the Court to give Judgment on the Said
   verdict
      2dly That the verdict is Insufficient    M Howard pr Querr
    By which it appears to the Court here That the Reasons afd are
   not Sufficient in Law to Stay or delay Judgment on the verdict
   of The Jurors afd Therefore it is Considered by the Court here to
   wit the 19th day of August Anno Domi 1719 afd That the Said
   Right Honourable the Lord Proprietor of this Province and James
   Harris Recover against the Said Sarah Jewers as well the
   Sume of Two Thousand pounds of Tobacco Debt afd and fifteen
   pounds of Tobacco Damages by the Jury afd assest as also the Sume
   of Two Thousand Three hundred and five pounds of Tobacco by
   the Said James Harris laid out and expended about his Sute
   And the Said Deft in mercy &ca

   Daniel Ferrill proves that he attended as an Evide in the above
   Cause three days for the afd Plts   ordered by the Court here that
   the Said Mr James Harris pay the afd Daniel Ferrill the Sume
   of Ninety Pounds Tobo. for his attende afd
   William Trulock proves that he attended as an Evide in the
   above Cause one day for the afd Plts ordered by the Court here
   that the Said Mr James Harris pay the afd William Trulock the Sume
   of thirty pounds of Tobacco for his Attendance afd
   John Simkins an Evidence in the above Cause being Sworn
   the Plts by their attry afd prays that what the Said John
   delivers may be Entred which is granted to wit The deponent
