   258                                  June Court 1719
   Seven pounds of Tobo. proved in open Court JamsSmith Clk
    on which a Second writ Issued Returnable to ye Sixteenth day of June Anno
   Domi 1719 being the day of return of Said writ comes the Sd Plt by David .
   Macbride his attorney afd And the Sher of Said County and made return thereof
   Endorsed as folls vizt. Non Est Inventus pr Simon Wilmer Sherf and also Short
   note left at the last place of the Defts abode
    There being a Copy of a Short note made and Sent with the writ Issued in -
   the Said Accõn Expressing the Plts cause of Accõn in the plea [afd?]
     whereupon the Said Benjamin Bond by his attr afd prayes that fo[r] as
   much as he hath complyed with the Law in ordr [for] an Attachment he may
   have Judgment ag.st the Said Peter Williams for his damages by occation
   of the premises afd by [way?] of Attachment According to Act of Assembly
   whereupon for that it Seems to the Court here the day & yeare last
   mentioned That the Said Benjamin Bond hath complyd with the Law
   (as alledged) And the Said Plt having proof of his damages to the Court here
   Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here the Eighteenth day of June
   Anno Domi 1719 afd That the Said Benjamin Bond Recover against
   the Said Peter Williams as well the Sume of Seventeen hundred forty
   Seven pounds of Tobacco his Damages afd as also the Sume of Two —
   hundred forty three pounds of Tobacco and a half pound of Tobacco Cost and
   Charges by the Said Benjamin Bond laid out and Expended about his Sute
   by way of Attachment against the Goods Chattells Rights and Credits of
   the Said Peter Williams According to Act of Assembly in that Case made
   and provided ——

            at | hundred pounds of Tobacco Commenced by the Plt agst. the
   Owen Mecartey | Sd Deft whereon there Issued a Copy of the Declaration

with the writ in the Said Accõn and wherein the Sherf


of Kent County to whom the writ in the Same Accõn was
   directed makes return thereof to the Court here Endorsed Cepi Corpus Copy —
   Declaration Served in time pr me Simon Wilmer Sher -
   Kent County Ss. Owen Macarthy of Kent County Cordwinder alis Dicts Owen Mecarty
   of ye. County of Kent in ye Province of Maryland Shomaker was Summoned to Answer
   unto John Cooper of a plea that he render to him the full and Just Sume of twelve
   hundred pounds of good Sound Merchantable Tobacco wth. Casque to Contain the
   Same of the value of twelve pounds Sterling money which from him he unjustly
   detains &ca.   .   . And Whereupon the afd John by David Macbride his .
   attry Say’th that whereas the afd Owen the twenty Sixth day of Aprill in the
   year of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven hundred and eighteen at S.t Pauls Parish
   in Kent County within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court by his Certain writing obligatory
   bound himselfe his heires Executors and Admrs. in the afd full and Just Sum of Twelve
