            Att a Court held for Kent County at the Court house on Chester River in the Town
   of Chester in Said County on the Eighteenth day of March in the fourth Year of the Dominion of
   Charles absolute Lord and Proprietarie of the Province of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron
   of Baltemore &c^a. Annoq Domini one Thousand Seven hundred and Eighteen By vertue
   of a writ of Election to Simon Wilmer Gent high Sherf of Said County from his Excellency
   John Hart Esq^r: bearing date the nineth day of March Instant for the Electing and Chooseing
   four deputyes or delegates for the afd County to Serve in a Generall Assembly to be held
   at the City of Annapolis the twenty first day of Aprill next In Pursuance to the Said –
   writ The afd Sherf Summoned four of his Said Lord Ships Justices of the peace for the afd
   County hereafter mentioned as also the Clarke of the afd County to Sett as a Court and
   during the Sitting to make Publick Proclamation when the time of Election to
   be made by vertue of which were present

     p^rsent M^r Simon Wilmer Sher & Jam^sSmith Clk
   The Sherf afd made publick proclamation that the writ of
   Election was Immediately to be read And all p^rsent freeholders in
   y^e County afd where desired to attend to hear the Same The afd writ
   being read The time appointed is on Tuesday the thirty first day
   of March Instant at twelve Clock in the Same day at the County Court
   house in Said County And that the Sherf of Said County Sett up —
   notes thereby to give notice thereof at all publick places in the—
   afd County According to Act of Assembly in Such Cases made and in—
   pursuance of the Said writ of Election ——

   M^r Simon Wilmer Sheriff present and at the time day afd mentioned
   publick proclamation being made requesting all Gentlemen freeholders.
   of the County afd to appear in Court to Hear the writ of Election read and
   large appearence Immediatly appeared in Court And the writ of Election
   was publickly read And the Sherf gives the Gentlemen directions to
   proceed to there Election and Col^o Nath^l. Hynson and Cap^t. S.^t Ledger Codd .
   in Nominated and a pole is desired one against the other and a pole being
   taken for each and both being called over And the persons answering
   to there names on each pole Cap^t S.^t Leager Codd carrys the Same by Sev^rall
                                                                                                               voates
