   Should be found in his Bailywick and him Safe keep So that he have his body –
   before his Said Lord Ships Justices of our Said County Court held in the Court house
   in the Town of Chester in Said County Immediatly to Answer unto Mathias
   Vanderheyden Admr. of all and Singular the Goods & Chattells & Credits which—
   were of James Barbot late of Cæcil County Merchant deceased at the time of -
   his death who died Instestate as tis Said of a plea that he render to him the Sum
   of two Thousand Eight hundred pounds of Tobacco of the value of twenty Eight
   pounds Sterling money which he unjustly detains &ca. And that he have then
   and there the Said writ &ca. Att which Said Court vizt. the Same day last
   mentioned Came Simon Wilmer Gent high Sherf of Said County and made
   return of the Same writ in these words thereon Endorsed as folls vizt. Cepi —
   Corpus pr Simon Wilmer Sherf.
      And at the Same Court came the afd Plt by his afd attry vizt. Thomas -
   Bowne and prayd the Said Deft might be called who being called came And
   the afd Plt by his Said attry prayd the Said Deft might give Special
   bail to the afd Accõn which was granted and that he be kept in Safe Custody
   by the Sherf of Said County untill he Shall give Special bail as afd
      Att which Said next Court vizt. the Seventeenth day of March the Same
   year last mentioned Came the afd Plt by his afd Attry and declares as folls vizt.
   Kent County Ss John Budd of Kent County Labourer alis Dics John Budd planter of Kent
   County was Summoned to Answer unto Mathias Vanderheyden Admr of all & Singular
   the Goods & Chattells & Credits which were of James Barbot late of Cæcil County .
   Merchant deceased at ye time of his death who died Intestate as tis Said of a plea
   that he render to him the Sum of two Thousand Eight hundred pounds of Tobacco
   of the value of twenty Eight pounds Sterling money which he unjustly detains
   &ca. and whereupon the afd Mathias by Thomas Bowne his attry Saith–
   that whereas the afd John the fifteenth day of August in the Year of our
   Lord Christ Seventeen hundred and thirteen at S:t pauls Parish in Kent
   County whithin the Jurisdiciõn of this Court by his Certain bill obligatory
   which the Said John Sealed with his Seale and as his deed delivered hereinto
   Court brought the date whereof is the Same day and Year afd Acknowledged and
   granted himselfe to owe and be indebted to the afd James in his lifetime in the just
   Sum of one Thousand four hundred pounds of good Sound leafe Tobacco Clear of all trash
   in Cask to Contain the Same to be paid to the Said James his Execors. or Admrs. upon the then
   dwelling Plantation of the said John when thereunto required and for the true pay=
  :ment thereof the Said John then and there firmly by the Said bill obliged & bound himselfe in
