                                           March Court 1718                                         197  
   here orders that the Sherf of Said County keep him in safe Custody untill he
   Shall give Securty as afd
    Peter Mercy as afd comes into Court and acknowledges himself indebted
   to his Lord Ship his heires and Successors in the Sume of Twenty pounds -
   Sterling to be Leveyed on his goods and Chattells Lands and Tenements
   Conditionally that if the afd Peter Shall not make his personall appear:
  :ance at the next Court to be held for Said County and then and there to —
   Answer unto what things Shall be objected against him on his Lord —
   Ships behalf and in mean time to be of good behaviour wherewith he
   acknowledges himself Content
   Likewise came into Court Abraham Redgrave and Roger Hiz both
   of Said County and Acknowledges themselves indebted to his Lord Ship
   his heires and Successors in the Sume of tenn pounds Sterling Each to be
   Leveyed on their goods and Chattells Lands and Tenements Conditionally
   that if the afd Peter Mercy Shall not appear at the next County Court to be
   held for Said County And then and there to answer as afd And in the mean
   time to be of good behaviour wherewith they acknowledge themselves
   to be therewith Content ———
      ordered by the Court here that the afd Mary Clarke enter into Recog:
  :nizance as an Evidence against the afd Peter
    Mary Clarke afd Acknowledges herself indebted to his Lord Ship his
   heires and Successors in the Sume of five pounds Sterling to be Leveyed
   on her goods and Chattells Lands and Tenements Conditionally that if the
   ye afd Mary Shall not appear at the next Court to be held for Said County and
   then and there to give Evidence on his Lord Ships behalfe against the
   afd Peter Mercy wherewith She acknowledges herself Content
        Rebeckah Rye having taken a Child by the Request of one of his Said
   Lord Ships Justices of the peace for Said County that was born of a Certain—
   Mary Hussey decd. and The Court agrees with the afd Rebeckah to give her
   one hundred pounds of Tobacco pr months for the time She hath had the
   Same and untill June Court next and the Same to be allowed in the Levey
   to which the afd Rebeckah Consents
   Stephen Miers as an Evid Sworn to the grand Jury
   Gilbert Falconar John Molliston and Peter Stringham all as Evides.
   Attested and Sent to the grand Jury ———
   His Ld Ship | Recognizance taken by Mr. William Comegys one of
               at | his Lord Ships Justices of the peace for Said County for
   Geo: Sanders | his appearance to this Court   And the afd George Sanders in
