   Thomas Tyer | Commanded it was to the Sherf of Kent County
             at | the Nineteenth day of June in the fourth Year of his
   Thomas Mahon | Lord Ships Dominion &ca That he take Thomas Mahoon

of Kent County Planter if he Should be found in his
   Bailywick and him Safe keep So that he have his body before his Said
   Lord Ships Justices of the next Court to be held for Said County at the Court house
   in the Town of Chester in Said County to answer unto Thomas Tyer of a plea
   of Trespass of the Case And that he have then and there the Said writ &ca.
        Att which Said next Court vizt. the Nineteenth day of August the Same
   year last mentioned the day of return of Said writ came Simon Wilmer
   Gent. high Sherf of Said County and made return thereof in these words
   thereon Endorsed as folls vizt. Cepi Corpus pr Simon Wilmer Sherf.
   And the afd Deft by Michael Howard his attorney appeared to the above
   Accõn and prayd liberty thereof to imparle thereto and to answer
   at next Court which was granted the Same day was given the Plt in
   like manner
    Att which Said next Court vizt. this Twenty first day of November
   Anno Domini one Thousand Seven hundred and Eighteen Came the
   afd Plt by Thomas Bowne his attry and the Said Deft by his afd
   attry and informes the Court that the Plt hath not declared against
   the Said Deft whereby the Said Deft cannot in any wise make
   answer to the Same accõn against Therefore it is Considered
   by the Court here vizt. the Same day last mentioned That the afd plt Thomas
   Tyer take nothing by his writ afd but that he and his pledges be in
   mercy and that the Said Deft go thereof without and that the Said
   Deft Recover against the Said Deft the Sume of Two hundred and
   forty two pounds of Tobacco Cost by the Said Deft expended about his
   defence according to the form of the Satute [sic]

   Nathl Pearce | Dominion &ca. That he take Nathaniell Pearce of Kent —

   Planter if he Should be found in his Bailywick and him Safe keep So that
   he have his body before his Said Lord Ships Justices of the peace of the next
   Court to be held for Said County at the Court house in the Town of Chester in—
   Said County to answer unto John Ward of a plea that he render him the full
   and just Sume of Nine Thousand pounds of good Sound Merchantable Leafe
   Tobacco and Cask of the value of Fforty five pounds Sterling money which
   from him he unjustly detains &ca. And that he have then and there the
   Said writ &ca.   .   .    Att which Said next Court vizt. the nineteenth
   day of August the Same Year last mentioned the day of return of Said —
   writ came Simon Wilmer Gent high Sherf of Said County and made
