William Hackett	\|	Commanded it was to the Sherf of Kent County the
a^t	\|	twenty Second day of August in the fourth Year of his Lord
John Dellany &	\|	Ships Dominion &c^a. That he take John Dullany late of Kent
Charles Meloyd —	\|	County Planter & Charles Mayloyd late of Kent County Planter

		Kent County if they Should be found in his Bailywick

   and them Safe keep So that he have their bodies before the Justices of our
   next County Court to be held at our Court house in the Town of Chester in—
   Said County to answer unto Will^m. Hackett of a plea that they render unto
   him the full and Just quantity of one thousand two hundred pounds of—
   good Sound Merchantable leaf Tobacco of the value of twelve pounds —
   Sterling in good cask which from him they unjustly detain &c^a. And that
   he have then and there the Said writ &c^a.
      Att which Said next Court viz the Eighteenth day of November the
   Same Year last mentioned the day of return of Said writ came Simon Wilmer
   Gent. high Sherf of Said County and made return thereof in these words
   thereon Endorsed as foll^s viz^t. Cepi Corpus p^r Simon Wilmer Sher^f
   and the afd Plt now living in the County the Same by John Johnson his
   att^ry prays that he may be admited as Securety for Cost which is granted
   and the afd John Johnson acknowledges himself Securety for the afd Plt
   that if in case the afd Deft Shall appear to the above accõn and the
   Plt be cast in the Same that then he will the Deft his Cost in the
   Same if the Plt. pay it not himselfe
    and the afd Deft being called came and the Said Plt by his afd att^ry
   prays that the Said Deft may give Special bail to the afd Accõn which
   is granted after which James Smith of Said County comes into Court and
   acknowledges himselfe Special bail in the afd accõn and doth undertake
   for the afd Deft the payment of the Debt afd and Cost thereon accruing if
   the Said Deft. be cast in the Same and the Condemnation Shall not
   Satisfie nor himselfe to the Custody of the Sherf of Said County deliver
   or that the afd James Smith the body of the afd Deft Shall not render
   &c^a.
   and the afd Deft by Thomas Bowne his att^ry appears to the above
   accõn and prays liberty thereof to imparl thereto and to answer at next
   Court which is granted the Same day is given the Plt also
