   granted And that he be kept in Safe Custody by the Sherf of Said County untill he
   Shall give Special baile . .
     and the Said Deft Saith that he Cannot gainsay the accon afd of him the
   Said Plt nor but that the writing obligatory above mentioned is his act and
   deed and is willing that Judgment Should be entered for the afd Sume of one
   Thousand two hundred and twenty pounds of Tobacco and Cost thereon accruing
   Therefore it is Considered by the Court here vizt. this twenty first day of—
   November Annoq Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and Eighteen
   That the afd Plt Gilbert Higginson do recover against the Said Deft Peter
   Massey as well the Sume of one Thousand two hundred and twenty pounds
   of Tobacco Debt as also the Sume of Two hundred and ninety Six pounds
   of Tobacco Cost by the afd Plt about his Sute in this behalfe expended
   and by the Court here of his assent adjudged and the Said Deft in mercy
   &ca ———

   Joseph Hartlew | Commanded it was to the Sherf of Kent County
                  at | the twenty Second day of August in the fourth
   Alsip Robinson | Year of his Lord Ships Dominion &ca. That he

take Alsop Robinson of Kent County Planter if
   he Shall be found in his baylwick and him Safe keep so that he have
   his body before his Said Lord Ships Justices of the next Court to be held at
   our Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County to answer unto
   Joseph Hartlew of a plea of Trespass upon the Case and that he have
   then and there the Said writ &ca.
      Att which Said next Court vizt the Eighteenth day of November the
   Same Year last mentioned the day of return of Said writ came Simon
   Wilmer Gent high Sherf of Said County and made return thereof in
   these words thereon Endorsed as folls vizt. Cepi Corpus pr Simon Wilmer Sherf
    and the Said Deft being called came and the afd Plt by Thomas Bowne
   his attry prays that the Sd Deft may give Speciall bail to the afd Accõn which
   is granted after which Ebenezer Blackiston of Said County here in Court
   cometh and Acknowledges himselfe as Special bail in the afd Accõn and
   doth undertake the payment of the damages in the Same and Cost thereon—
   accruing if the Deft afd Should be Cast in the Same and the Condemnati:
  :on Shall not Satisfie nor himselfe to the Custody of the Sherrife of Sd
   County deliver or that the afd Ebenezr Blackiston the body of the afd Deft
   Shall not render &ca.
   and the afd Deft. by Michael Howard his attry appears to the afd —
   accõn and prays liberty thereof to imparle thereto and to answer at
   next Court which is granted the Same day is given the Plt in like
   manner also ——
