   and the afd Deft in his proper person appeared to the afd Accõn and Saith that he
   cannot gainsay the Accõn afd of him the Said plt nor but that the writing obligatory
   above mentioned is his Act and deed and that he is indebted to the afd Plt the
   afd Sume of Eleven hundred thirty two pounds of Tobacco and is willing that Judgmt.
   Shold be entered against him for the Sume and Cost thereon accruing Therefore it is
   Considered by the Court here vizt. This twenty Second day of August Anno Domini
   one Thousand Seven hundred and Eighteen That the afd Plt. Gilbert Higginson do -
   recover against the Said Deft Abram Taylor as well the afd the Sume of Eleven
   hundred and thirty two pounds of Tobacco Debt as also the Sume of two hun:
   :dred Eighty Seven pounds of Tobacco Cost by the afd Plt about his Sute in this —
   behalfe expended and by the Court here of his assent adjudged and the Said Deft
   in mercy &ca ——

   John Johnson & Uxr | Commanded it was to the Sherf of Kent County the
   Adrx. Wm Blay decd | nineteenth day of June in the fourth Year of his Lord Ships
                    at | Dominion &ca That he take John Nanskin late of Kent
   John Nanskin— | County in the Province of Maryland Planter als Dicts John

Nanskin of the aforesd County and province if he Should be
   found in his Bailywick and him Safe keep So that he have his body before his Said
   Lord Ships Justices of the Peace for Said County at a Court to be held for Said County at
   the Court house in the town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto John Johnson
   and Isabella his wife Adminrx of all & Singular the goods & Chattells Rights &
   Creditts which were of Wm Blay her late husband decd of a plea that he render—
   unto her the full Sume of five thousand pounds of good Mercht. Tobacco wch. from
   her he unjustly detains &ca— And that he have then and there the Said writ &ca.
    Att which Said next Court vizt. the Nineteenth day of August the Same Year
   late mentioned the day of return of Said writ came Simon Wilmer Gent high—
   Sherf of Said County and made return thereof in these words thereon endorsed as
   followeth vizt. Cepi Corpus pr Simon Wilmer Sherf
     and the afd Deft. being called came and the afd Plts by Thomas Bowne their
   attorney prays that the afd Deft. may give Special baile to the afd Accõn which
   was granted and that he be kept in Safe Custody by the Sherf of Said County untill
   he Shall give Special bail
        After which George Sanders of the afd County comes into Court and ——
   Acknowledges himselfe As Special bail in the afd Accõn and doth under:
  :take for the afd Deft the payment of the Debt afd and Cost thereon accruing if
   the afd Deft Shall be Cast in the Same and the Condemnation Shall not Satisfie
   nor himselfe to the Custody of the Sherf of Said County deliver or that the
   afd George Sanders the body of the Said Deft Shall not render &ca ——
