   118                                August Court 1718
   him he unjustly detains &ca. And that he have then and there the
   Said writ &ca.  .  .   Att which Said next court vizt. the Nineteenth
   day of August the Same Year last mentioned the day of Return of-
   Said writ came Simon Wilmer Gent. high Sherf of Said County &
   made return thereof in these words thereon Endorsed as folls vizt.
   Cepi Corpus pr S:Wilmer Sherf.
   Thomas Bowne attry for the Plt. Saith that the afd Plt not
   being an Inhabitant of this County prays that he may be
   taken as Surety for the Said Plt. which is granted   and the
   afd Thomas Bowne Saith that if the afd Deft Shall appear
   to the afd Accõn and the Plt Should be Cast in the Same That
   then he will Pay the Cost that the Same Deft Shall be put to
   about his defence if the Plt. pay it not himselfe
   The afd Deft being called Came And the afd Plt by Thomas
   Bowne his attry Prays that the afd Deft may give Special
   baile to the afd Accõn which is granted and that he be kept
   in Safe Custody by the Sherf of Said County untill he Shall give
   Speciall baile as afd
   After which William Browne of Said County here in Court cometh
   and Acknoweldges himselfe as Special baile in the afd Accõn
   and doth undertake for the afd Deft. the payment of the Debt
   afd and Cost thereon accruing if the Deft Should be Cast in the
   Same And the Condemnation Should not Satisfie nor himselfe
   to the Custody of the Sherf of Said County deliver or that the
   afd William Browne the body of the afd Deft. Shall not
   render &ca
   and the afd Deft by John Johnson his attry appeared to the
   above accõn A Decln being fild in the Same Accon is was —
   Continued untill next Court
