   as well the afd Sume of Six hundred pounds of Tobacco Debt afd as also the Sume of
   Three hundred and Eleven pounds of Tobacco Cost by the afd plt about his Sute
   in this behalfe Expended and by the Court here of his assent adjudged and
   the Said Deft. in mercy &ca.

Bailywick & him Safe keep So that he have
   his body before his Said Lord Ships Justices of the peace for the next Court to be
   held at our Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto
   William Frisby late Sherife of Kent County of a plea of Trespass of the Case
   and that he have then and there the Said writ &ca at Which Said next Court
   vizt. the nineteenth day of August the Same Year last mentioned the day
   of return of Said writ Came Simon Wilmer Gent high Sherf of Said County
   & made return thereof in these words thereon Endorsed as folls vizt. Cepi—
   Corpus pr S: Wilmer Sherf.   And A Declaration being filed which Said .
   writ Issued forth & Copy thereof Served therewith according to Act of Assembly
   writ Issued forth & Copy thereof Served therewith according to Act of assembly
   in Such Case made was as folls vizt. Kent County Ss William Cock of Kent County
   planter Stands Attached to Answer unto William Frisby late Sherrife of Kent
   County of a plea of Trespass of the Case   And Whereupon the afd Plt by Thomas
   Bowne his attry Complains that Whereas the afd Deft the Twenty third day
   January in the Year of our Lord Christ One Thousand Seven hundred and fourteen
   at St. Pauls Parish in Kent County within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court was Indebted
   unto the afd Plt. in the Sume of one hundred and Eight pounds of Merchantable
   Tobacco for the like Sume of Tobacco for one Levy of one Taxable then and there due
   from the Said Deft to the Said Plt. the Said Plt. then and there being Sherrife of Said
   County and the Sume of thirty pounds of Merchantable Tobacco for one Amerciamt.
   then and there due from the Said Deft to the afd Plt. the Said Plt then and there being
   Sherff of Said County and So thereof being Indebted the afd Deft In Consideration thereof
   then and there upon himselfe assumed and to the Said Plt. then and there last mentio:
  : oned faithfully promised that he the said Deft the afd Sume of one hundred and Eight
   pounds of Merchantable Tobacco and Sd thirty pounds of Merchantable Tobacco unto the Said
   Plt. when thereunto required would well and truly pay and Content and that Whereas —
   also the afd Deft afterwards vizt. the Twenty third day of January in the Year of our
   Lord Christ One Thousand Seven hundred and fifteen at St. Pauls Parish in Kent County
   within the Jurisdiccõn of this Court was Indebted unto the afd Plt. in the Sume of
   one hundred and ffifty five pounds of Merchantable Tobacco for the like Sume of
   Tobacco for one Levy of one Taxable then and there last Said due from the Said Deft
   to the afd Plt. the afd Plt. then and there last Said being Sherrife of Said County and So ¬
   thereof being Indebted the afd Deft in Consideration thereof then and there last.
