old; my negro man John aged about twenty
six years old; my negro woman named
Ann Mariah aged about twenty four years
now intermarried with John Buck a
free man of color and her children Mary
Francis aged about three years and Isabella
a girl in her second year.  My negro
woman Leah aged about twenty two
years; my negro woman Catherine
aged about twenty years and my negro
girl Caroline aged about twelve years all
the above named negroes are able to work
and gain a sufficient livelihood and
maintenance.  And they the above named
negroes I do declare to be henceforth free
manumitted and discharged from all
manner of service or servitude to me my
Executors or Administrators forever.  In
witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed
my name and affixed my seal this
twenty fourth day of May Eighteen hundred
and forty nine

Be it remembered and it is hereby certified
that on this fifteenth day of June in the year

County aforesaid personally appeared Thomas J.
Mezick he being known to me to be the person
