       Before me appeared this day Dr Saml D Lynch and
acknowledged the above deed of Manumission and
release of Service to be his free act and deed

Deed of Manumission & release of service
                Whereas my slave William H
Boone has enlisted in the service of the United
States:  now in consideration thereof I
Samuel D Lynch of Anne Arundel County
State of Maryland do hereby certify in
consideration of said enlistment manumit set
free and release the above named William
H. Boone from all service due me; his freedom
to commence from the 29 of March 1864 the
date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the 39
Regiment of Colored troops in the service
of the United States
    Witness my hand and seal this 25th
day of October 1865
