219 Regiment of Colored Troops in the service of the United States Witness my hand and seal this 26th day of August 1865 Ezra Sheckell (seal) Witness W.m Bryan F Schroder Owen M Taylor Anne Arundel County State of Maryland 1865 Before me appeared this day Ezra Sheckell and acknowledged the above deed of manumission and Release of Service to be his free act and deed Owen M Taylor Recorded 28.th day of August 1865 Deed of Manumission and Release of Service Whereas my slave Henry Johnson has been drafted in the service of the United States now in consideration thereof I Edward Collinson of Anne Arundel County State of Maryland do hereby in consideration of said enlistment manumit set free and release the above named Henry Johnson from all service due me his freedom to commence from the 23d May 1864 the date of his enlistment as aforesaid in the Regiment of Colored Troops in the Service of the United States Witness my hand and seal this 15.th day of August 1865 Witness Gassaway Winterson E.
