       Deed of Manumission and Release of Service
Whereas my slave Henry Strong has enlisted in the
service of the United States now in consideration thereof
    I Francis W Williams of Anne Arundel county
State of Maryland do hereby in consideration of said
enlistment manumit set free and release the above
named Henry Strong from all service due me his
freedom to commence from the 24th of June 1864 the date
of his enlistment as aforesaid in the 30.th Regiment
of Colored Troops in the service of the United States
       Witness my hand and seal this 15th day of Augt
