Anne Arundel County State of Maryland July 26th 1865
    Before me appeared William H Tuck and acknowledged
the above deed of manumission and Release of service to
be his free act and deed

Deed of Manumission and Release of Service
          Whereas my slave Moses Johnson has enlisted
in the service of the United States now in consideration
thereof I Wilson L Wells of Anne Arundel County state
of maryland do hereby in consideration of said enlistment
manumit set free and release the above named Moses
Johnson from all service due me his freedom to commence
from the the date of his enlistment in the service of the
United States                  Witness my hand and seal this
Second day of January 1865

thereof I Sarah Leach of Anne Arundel County State
of maryland do hereby in consideration of said
enlistment manumit set free and release the above
named John Green from all service due me his
freedom to commence from the 24th day of March
