Deed Manumission
from Dorsey Jacob
              To
Slave Hezekiah
 Know all men by these presents
that I Dorsey Jacob in
the State of Maryland for
divers good causes and considerations
me thereunto meaning
have from and upon the ninth day of February
eighteen hundred and seventy four and not
before released from slavery manumitted liberated
and set free and by these presents do from and
upon the said day and not be free release from slavery
manumit liberate and set free my negro
boy named Hezekiah being at present of about
the age of seven months and him the said Hezekiah
I hereby declare to be from the said ninth
day of February eighteen hundred and seventy
four and forever thenceforth freed manumitted
liberated and discharged from all manner
of service and servitude to me my executors
administrators and assigns
In witness whereof I here^un^to set my hand
and seal this 27.th day of August Eighteen hundred
and forty six

delivered in presence of         Dorsey Jacob   (seal)

                   Anne Arundel County to wit
Be it remembered that On this 27.th day of August
